Is there anything different physically between the s14 tranny and s13 tranny? i am thinking of buy a s14 tranny and dont want to get ripped off. This is for a SR.

yes.
Speed sensor is totally different. You will have to modify it if you want your speedometer to work and ECU to read what the speed is. (this is important because the ECU actually uses speed as a calculation for the maps)
Also, the little plugs/harness on the side of the mission, like reverse signal, neutral switch, etc, look different, but can be made to work.
The code on the side is slightly different as well. W72C for S14. (same as R32/33 Skyline)
However, it's a good swap if you plan on abusing the drivetrain with driving conditions such as drift.
I have broken input shafts, input shaft collars, T.O. bearings, and 2 discs on an OS Giken twin plate, as well as 3rd gear on missions. Be sure to always check or replace the PILOT bearing.
