Mike, on your site it states that The projector unit is also wrapped with a ring of high-intensity LEDs which act as a parking lamp. So by that do you mean like angel eyes..its kinda hard to tell in the pic if the projector is on or the ring. Anyway damn i wish i could afford these right now.

should we ever come across a zenki S14 owner who is seriously interested, we'll make a set.
gotta pay to play, if you want things done right.

angel eyes is a stupid trendy name, i dread using it and avoid it at all costs. these are LED rings, simple as that. I didnt snap any images of the headlights with the HID on.. no need, anyone familiar with my work should have good faith that they are brighter and have a superior lighting pattern when compared to stock.

price and ETA for zenki.
ETA = N/A
price = N/A
we're low volume, nothing you see on the site is mass-produced.. everything is hand-built. If you have a zenki and want it, let me know and I'll be more than happy to discuss pricing and look into building a headlamp for the 95-96 S14.
The 97-98 headlamps retail for $1650/pair.
- Brand new projectors, ballasts, bulbs, harness, combination switch, etc etc.. everything you need to ensure that your setup will function just like stock, should it have been an option from the factory.

there is no trade in.. this is the cost of the conversion to the OEM lamps. you provide the lamps, we professionally convert them to HID. for serious customers who want this, we have a core set of headlamps that we can use as a core-exchange -- ONLY if your headlamps are in excellent condition. We will not swap for lamps that are scratched and pitted or have glass chips. Deposit is required for core-exchanges.
note: if you have NEW lamps, you may want to consider having those modified since our shop set is used. i dont see it being wise to exchange new lamps with used ones.

nope, no group buys. we're already swamped over here and not looking to get popular off of work like this.

hehe hey bryant, yeah man the rims turned out okay.. although i broke a coupe fasteners when re-torquing them.. so now i am on the search for extra ones. plus, i need to try to locate that missing center cap.. so i have to check with my leads in japan, see if they can get these items from precedeo. i havent put the wheels on the car yet, waiting for the s03's to come in. ;)
if you need a set, give me a hollar. i dont think i can do anything amazing with the pricing but maybe we can work something out. you're still friends with paris hilton, right? haha

Lights were taken apart. Changed a couple parts. Lights were put back together. Happy?

wat kind of projectors are u using?
He's probably not going to tell anyone shit. I know I wouldn't if it was part of my business. It does look good and of nice quality. I also noticed on your site that it uses all DOT approved components so must be some shit out of a benz or something. Expensive but what the fuck can you do it's his product and his choice... must take alot of work.

so does that mean no more uneven beams for HID?
sweet..... i heard changing the lense to BMW HID lense can also solve the problem, not if the kit works the same?

Kinda off topic, but any thoughts on improving the S13 Projectors. I know alot of people on this site don't like 'em, but I'd be interested in seeing them with a better/brighter H.I.D. beam pattern.

Correct. Although, I thought all these companies that sold "hid kits" claimed they were "beam pattern corrected" -- sure makes you wonder how valid those claims were now that HID kits are illegal and all these companies stopped selling them when they realized how severe the fines and penalties are. (Yeah, I've still got a bone to pick with people who disagreed with me years ago on HID retrofits).
sweet..... i heard changing the lense to BMW HID lense can also solve the problem, not if the kit works the same?
You cannot change just the bulb, or just the lens -- you have to change the entire assembly, this is what we do and what we offer. We dont use junkyard parts, we use ALL new components.
I wish he could say where he got the LED
We build all of our LED arrays.

Yep, you are correct. Lot of work, lot of time, lot of research, and we're not in business to just blab what we did and how we did it so that others can try to replicate what we do. Those who appreciate our work will come to us, others can walk their own path and innovate (if they are capable of that).
Note: Components are not "dot approved" -- they are "dot compliant" which means they conform to the lighting standards set by the DOT. We dont use parts out of other cars, these are all brand new components.

Already in the works. We've been shooting ideas back and fourth for about 6 months on this one, I estimate the S13 HID conversion should be available within the next 6 months. It will be similar to the S14 kit, only better. ;)

damn back when I was lookin at HID's, it seemed liek *USED* headlight hardware off of an audi/bmw/benz cost upwards of $400, if mike's using *NEW* hardware ...plus labor...plus whatever he needs to make money...no wonder its so much

The problem with junkyards is that the prices are never consistent, neither is the quality of the product you are purchasing -- its a lottery draw. AND, as a business.. its not prudent to sell items that are in questionable condition. So, using brand new components is the way to go.
Just be happy you dont own a Lexus SC (Soarer). Not only is every light HUGE, but every light is an absolute pain in the ass to work on. The lights on that car are some of the more intricate lights we work on. Take a look at the new headlamps we developed for those:

At $2425/pair, these are NO JOKE.
The tail lights are pretty cool too..
http://clearcorners.com/products/lexus/sc1/R_full1/
We actually have a new set of tail lights coming out for the 97-00 SC as well.

If I had a G35 or an SC..or hell...any car + $$$, i'd no doubt be upgrading to clearcorners.com on every lighting component...but..hey... $$$ i have not..
question:
I don't know specifically where you get your projectors, but have you put the Q45 style projector with the gatling-gun style (for lack of better description) into any of your headlights? No doubt you CAN...i saw a picture of them in an S14 zenki, so they'd fit in there...
are they any good, or just shity?
old_s13
05-13-2004, 06:10 PM
Ive never seen them in an S14 before, do you have any images?
Yes, they are some of the highest quality headlamps available. Fitting them & weather proofing them however, is an ordeal.

Ok so basically you built this H.I.D. upgrade to specs as if it would come as a dealer option (hypothetically speaking)?. As far as cost I understand now as to why it's so expensive. Would you ever consider making a kit for the do it yourself people and price it at say $800 dollars or more basically cutting out labor costs or is it to risky?

No.. I am selling this HID conversion as an HID conversion.

Everyone has a vision of what is expensive and what is inexpensive. The bottom line is, what can you afford -- people need to establish budgets for their projects.
I dont ever plan on selling anything on my site as a kit. Imagine NISSAN selling you a car in parts, and leaving it up to the consumer to build -- this would be absolute chaos. When customers spend money, they deserve a finished product -- not a box filled with expensive parts that they can easily damage due to inexperience.

Nice work. I would like to see beam pattern pictures too. Is there any light above the cutoff?
Also, did configure the wiring so it plugs right into the stock headlight harness, or does it come with a relay that connects directly to the battery?

some of my thoughts of what you guys said so far..
Q45 projector in S14 headlight... i doubted it was possible or i should say impossible since those things are damn HUGE !!! with dimension 5.25 inch front diameter and 5.75 inch outer diameter.. how can you stuff it into the S14 headlight housing ? a 3 inch projector is the most you can do !! at most you can do it is to the S13 pop up and that still only the low-beam or on some lexus GS something which i forgot.. or some car with big headlight housing
projector retro behind flute lense.. it wasn't that bad except that it will definitely better behind a clear lense with no distortion from the fluted lense.

We're NISSAN oriented, we sell products for the S13, S14, R32, Z31, Z32, Z33.. making products for the S15 is definately not a problem.
