On sunday I rear-ended a 2004 Corolla in my 1991 Fastback,I was going about 30-35MPH and my front bumper went under her rear bumper a little bit. The only real damage to the car is that the front bumper is warped b/c it sits about a half an inch or so taller then my hood, and its got some minor scratchs on it.
But I'm fucked up:(....I sprained both ankles, sprained my back(I've had HUGE surgery on it,though.) and knocked my knee cap out of place. My knee isn't dislocated, but my knee cap is out of place,so they have to make a "bregg brace" for it? And I have to do very extensive physical therapy for it.
This is really scary considering how minor the accident was....The cop didn't even write an accident report or ticket me. He told me I was at fault, but still? Doesn't give me much faith in the safety of my S13
EDIT:Bascially,I can't walk any faster then baby step limps, and I can barely move my neck around from soreness, and my wrists are hurtin pretty bad too from where I was holding the wheel....but they are 'just' bruised internally....fucking blows.

wtf happened? how did you get so badly messed up? were you sitting really close to the dash or something? seatbelt? i mean; i've heard stories of ppl who have flipped their 240sx driving around on dusty mountain roads and come out without a bruise. i would normally say 'glad to hear you're ok' but you don't seem to be. good luck with the recovery man.

I had the auto belt on,and the lap belt on. I sit fairly close to the dashboard but I didn't actually hit the dash board with any body parts...partly because I was standing on the brake pedal...lol.
I was coming up to a redlight, and I already started braking,a car cut in front of the car in front of me while I looked down for a second,so I looked back up and heres a car...I stood on the pedal for about a foot before hitting that car.So technically its not 100% my fault b/c the lady in front of me braked hard at the same time I was looking down....so it was a mix of things.
Thanks....

 Hah hah......No,not really. I was sitting regular with both hands on the wheel...Thats what gets me about my right wrist hurting and not my other one
Yeah, its crazy how bad I am,and how fine my car is...
Wow that really sucks ass. I got into a wreck about 2months ago in my s14 and left without a scratch. The thing is I did'nt come to an abrupt stop I had time to brake and stuff and get to the side of the road...well actualy regain control and end up on the side of the road heh.
Actually I've been having lower back problems since it happned. As soon as I finish the semester I'm going to handle all my shit.

It doesn't take much to hurt yourself in an accident when you consider the amount of force it takes to stop the car, and how little resistance your body offers in distributing that force. Sounds like to me you just got unlucky, or really lucky if you want to look at it that way. (Could have been much worse)

Ouch thats not cool...I had major surgery on my lower back, thats proble why its the worst thing hurt. I had a spinal fusion of the L-4 to S-1 with pedrigral screws.
Bascially:They welded the bottom 4 vertabrae in my spine to my hip,and used titanium screws to secure it.

Yeah they said that b/c I was tensing my muscles so bad when it happened...that I ripped them the slightest bit. So heavy ass workouts are out for a while

yeah my dad had a 45 mph head on collision and the steering wheel of his aerostar van bent back and broke off in his hands, caused he locked his elbows...
