Yea FWD and RWD crankshafts are the same. Same Nissan OEM part number. Too bad I didn't find out Oreillys had them until recently. Awesome deal with only a $10 core can't beat that.

How many of you have actually used the fwd crank on your rwd sr? I bet none of you because they will not work. I hate when people spread false info. All cranks weather they have the same part #s are still model specific. Until someone provides real proof they got it to work I call bs!

Do some research and you will see for yourself. I may be new to this forum but not new to building SR's. Just a few references:

I'm just trying to help people know. I would use my own bearings though of another brand definitely for a performance build. I wasn't trying to argue but share knowledge and help people be aware that it is possible. I respect everyone's opinions and viewpoints.

I will have to do more research as if iirc the crank pulley is not the same which could present a problem as well as mounting points and bearing surfaces. I will post on my researches.

JDS, They interchange without issue. Just gotta (obviously) check bearing clearences and they work without any worry. Just to help clear it up.
