I am emotionally tied to my car

So, as you all may know, I lost my job. I have two weeks to find another one. In the meantime, I think I should probably sell my car to pay off all of my debts at once and kinda start fresh. However, the problem is that... I am emotionally tied to my 240SX. I thought about selling it to my next-door neighbor, but then I'd have to look at it all the time. And I'm a wuss, and I'd probably cry if I saw that it didnt' have new oil change stickers and that there are dents and scratches on it... I love my car. *sniff*....

And if I sell my car, I wonder if WeST will let me be a moderator... and will you guys still let me post on Zilvia.net?

heh i dont even own a 240 and i post here, cuz i plan on owning one soon, so don't worry, just dont let em find out u sold ur 240 and u can moderate away! haha

I try not to step into that &quot;attached realm&quot; because I know it gets really silly and difficult. &nbsp;Its sorta easy to love cars because they are reliable and let you go anywhere.. but at the same time, its just a material object.

I really dont care if my car gets stolen, smashed, or sold. &nbsp;I mean, its a fun car and I enjoy it.. and I'll be upset if any of the above does happen.. but nothing permanent. &nbsp;Gotta remember that there are more important things in this world, like life itself.

Besides, I've always felt you can just buy another thats nicer and cleaner or different, and just play with that one instead. &nbsp;:)

ps: &nbsp;I wouldnt sell it to get out of debt unless absolutely necessary. &nbsp;Try a loan from someone you know and trust, smarter choice.

well....IF u did have to sell it, i'd sell it to ur neighbor or somebody that would buy it n not use it as their daily driver. that way once ur debts r paid n u have more money, u could buy it back from them in the near future. ur b/f said u could drive his sentra this winter neway right? i was thinkin' of selling my s14 n gettin' an s13 cuz then i'd have money right away for an sr20det, suspension, etc., but i think i'm just gonna stick w/ it n watch it grow up <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> .

haha, I've had about the opposite with my car. I keep putting money into it, but I somewhat despise this car, just lil problems I can't stand. But hey, if Irena sells her car, she can always get another one (maybe a nice black s14?? lol) and her knowledge and experience still stays right??

sell your car get out of debt and get a mad tyte 90 civic hatchback dx automatic with a cheap muffler and racing stripes. anyways, don't sell your car unless it has problems, as soon as you get out of debt you'll be kicking yourself. sure you may get out of debt faster by selling your car, but what would you be able to buy if it's not going to be as expensive and not a 240sx? it's going to be a POS. if your car was a 98, that would be different, but no point in selling your car, getting a cheap one, pay sales tax, be miserable, get out of debt, save money, sell your bucket, buy a 240sx again, pay sales tax again. get your priorities straighted; out of debt first, then upgrades <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

See, I don't want to sell it to my neighbor because he's not a car freak. And DuffMan is. And, Camppain already has a cool 240... and I need money NOW. The thing is that, even if I get another job, my 240 is gonna be parked in Chicago streets this winter. I don't want that to happen.

The car already has exhaust, DuffMan, it's GReddy SP (2.5&quot; piping-it's still alright if turboed.).
