Did you know he's actually building a drift car?? An artical in Super Street and interview with him said he was. Is this going to be the end of his Drag career?? hmm...... Damn mainstream.

I guess it makes sense though...i mean if your living is made being a driver, go where the money is, right?

I wonder what kind of car he's going to come out with?? Maybe a 240?? Hope not I hope he comes out with a chaser or something.....that would be funny to see him drift a chaser.

Well maybe thats about to change? They are RWD,and hella light with ashitton of power and a 6 sp manual, right? And they do come with a factory LSD ,right ? And its Vtech....ricer boys converting to the bandwagon would be in heaven

I like S2ks at least :p

there was a sponsored S2k at DD15, it did ok. It has same problems as a miata, short wheel base and harder to control. But hey, if they can drift a semi, i'm sure they can drift a S2K.

whatever, i personally doubt drifting will ever be as mainstream/popular as drag racing nor generate as much $$ for potiential drivers.

why doesn't he just drift his RWD converted drag civic. LoL. that thing just needs some suspension mods and im sure its already light as hell w/ 800+ HP to boot. hahaha.

the reason s2's have a hard time drifitng is the fact that they have all time traction control... if you don't disable this (usually with a stand alone ecu), or overcome it with sheer power (which would be upredictable) it's hard to drift. i think tsuchiya drifted a s2 on an option video, but it had the traction control disabled...

Not to mention S2Ks have shit for torque. :)
I've seen clips of Keiichi drifting a red S2K from a while back (probably when the 2k first came out), as well as a clip of orido spinning out and hitting the tire wall in one. Funny stuff!

First off who cares about who is building a drift car and who cares if he/she uses a 240SX?

Second, if anyone knew Stephan, you would know that one of his street cars was a 240SX back in the 90's...probably before a lot of you got your drivers licenses...

yah who cares. Lol. As long as APC stays out and doesnt claim they are drift experts within a few months.. *oh wait, thats already happening..*..

Im more pissed about these overnight *Drift* tshirt companys that pop out of no where.

iirc he said he had a civic that he brought to the street races....never heard him say a 240 though. It was also in a couple of articals

Oh....it doesn't have an off button or something? I still like 'em! I'm not really a drifter though, but I do like your classic doughnut or burnout :)

Anybody seen the new Mazdaspeed Turbo Miata trying to drift?

rs*r also has their own s2k they built for drifting. see it here --> http://rs-r.com/drifting/s2kcrash.wmv
