So I have a 92 S13 it is a ka24de-t and I have a starting problem. Basically sometimes when I try to start the car it takes a long crank to get it started. If I try to start it the first time in the day it starts up quick and fine but if I drove it around and come back to start it anywhere from 30mins-4hrs it takes a long crank to start.
When this problem first started I had to bleep the gas a bit to get it fired up but now pressing the gas doesn't even work.
The I've checked or replaced:
-Sparks plugs: They were clean and not dirty
-Cleaned Throttle body/MAF
-New Fuel Filter
-Installed New Battery
-Installed new Starter
-New Starter relay
-Oil Change
I'm going to check the injectors to see if thats the problem and check if the fuel pump to see if its building enough pressure.
Just to say the car is running properly and it started fine awhile ago. This starting problem just started coming out of nowhere.

the heck it was just working...oh well
Ok its not your fuel pump, im betting that its a bad cts, because what you are describing is that your car start up like normal when its cold but when its warm it takes a while. Change your cts and let us know if that helps.

Changed the CTS and that didnt help. It still doesn't want to startup right away when warm.

if its cranking and it runs that means u have fuel air and spark . but im betting that ur distributor ,cap, and rotor needs to be replaced and makye ur timing is off u should really test theese things before u spend money on stuff u dont even need

It could be a bad ignition switch. I have seen it where if you crank the key all the way it will crank fine, but not fire. If you just turn the key barely enough to crank, it starts fine. Try turning the key more carefully and see if that makes a difference. This issue would be worse hot as well...

Okay I'll try to check the distributor cap and rotor. I did some quick searching but don't find a way to check if its working properly except for looking for carbon, cracks and hearing any weird Moises. Is there another way that I couldn't find?
I also checked at turning the key different and that didnt help.
