Ok so here's the deal. I have an sr20 swap with a big Maserati battery in the trunk, 0 gauge wiring for it, multiple ground points, etc. I also have a 125 amp quest alternator in. My fans are wired on a temp probe in the upper rad hose. So ignitioned 12v > temp probe > to relay > efans. It's a 190/165 probe. Only one flaw. If the fans are running and I want to turn the car off I won't be able to turn it back on. The second I try the motor doesn't crank the efans just turn on. I have to disconnect the signal wire to be able to turn the car on and then reconnect it. So is something wrong with the electrical system? Or is this normal? I thought about a resistor in the signal wire to give the motor a second but I wanted input before I try stuff, thanks!

you need to interrupt the trigger signal to the fans when starter is engaged.

when starter switch is on, fan switch is off

I get that but I have a push start module in place of the stock tumbler. If I have the tumbler I'd hook it up to the ACC wire since it gets power cut on startup. However my module doesn't cut power to it so I have to come up with another way. I don't want a manual switch as that just kills the point of as close to an OE setup as possible. That's why I was thinking a resister to give the motor a couple seconds but i wanted second opinions/other ideas

close to an OE setup as possible ? With an ebay push start module ?

Anyway, if you dont want to get a real start module that does cut acc, i'd suggest a simple relay that opens your efan circuit when powered. Trigger it with the starter command wire (not the power wire) . It should work well.

I do have an efan setup triggered by a thermostatic switch (same setup as yours), although i have an in cabin switch to force the switch on, but not off. I never had problems to start, even with a 10AH battery, so your big maserati battery might be on its last legs.

Who said I had an eBay setup? I don't have an on switch then some 15$ push button. It's part of a legit alarm setup but I already have an alarm and don't have the need for remote start so i wired it into my existing alarm. Why is doesn't cut ACC? Idk but the module itself isn't some cheap POS and I have FAL fans.

Anyone else agree that my battery is on its way out?

Who said I had an eBay setup?

You did, by describing it. Call it ebay or even worse, getto.

A starter button cuts everything but what is necessary, because there is a huge voltage drop and a huge current draw at that moment. Any decent setup does that. If yours dont, it is crap or badly wired, wether it comes from something you call legit or not.

Not really ghetto, but whatever. My question was if a resistor would be enough or if my battery is on the way out. I will say I am stretching the life of it since its more than a few years old
