Drifting Ricer

This is a topic that has, well riddled me for quite sometime. I want to have a discussion about it because this is something that I want to see addressed. It may get a little deep....
Okay here I go....
It doesn't matter how fast the car is or how well it can handle because in the end it all comes down the human with in. Think about this how many people can handle a 2,000HP car around a twisty track and actually use it to it's fullest capabilities? Sure you can race 7,000HP-drag car in a straight line but can you actually race it? Or hold a race around the track at speeds close to the sound barrier? As cars get faster will people keep up with it? What I'm getting at is that people haven't caught up to the speed. Humans haven't evolved the reflexes to cope with the speed. The engineers can make it but can we drive it? The biggest set back in our day is no one else but us.
If we can't do it them who will? There is one answer to that the "MACHINE" it self. With us out of the way faster and better cars can be made. Can we as red-blooded humans allow that to happen? To let a lifeless machine to take all the credit of achieving New World records in speed.
Letting a machine do all the work doesn't seem right. What can the speed freak do? What can we do to close the gap between car and driver. Could it be that our current methods of communicating to our cars be outdated? Is there a better way other then steering wheels and pedals?
In the end this is not something that the current generations of speed freaks have to worry about too much. This is something that our grandkids will have to deal with. For an answer to all these questions look ahead to the future....
Okay let me get back to the real world.
So what you all think? Is this something we have to look at? I know most of us are struggling to get to 200HP (I know I am). But I wanted to play with the "IDEA". We can't be tied down to the real world all the time. If anyone got anything to add, post here. I want discuss this in an orderly matter.
