damn, looked at the site, they finally arrived! looks beefy. but the price is so high compare to BV. its rivals with cusco's price. why, oh why?? :duh: just had to let out my frustration. i was hoping they gonna be under 300.

$329

bv and that are totally different
ive seen battle version
nice stuff (and alex sells a good product) but it cant compare w/ cusco/tanabe/spl/kazama, etc etc

i would NOT trust those ebay ones. im sure the materials are of poor quality. and many of them are universal fora few cars..um..no thanks!

I actually bought I believe the first set of these they sold. They're actually Cusco RUCA's. Kuah told me that he didn't feel that the SPL ones were better quality and he wanted to sell the best. Rich and Kuah gave me top notch service... even when I'd call daily to see if they were in :) but yeah, they're AMAZING quality RUCA's from what I've seen of other companies. Very well put together and easy to install! SPL rocks as far as products and customer service.

i was adding up the cost of all the spl parts earlier, and when you add the RUCA's to your cart it actually says Cusco Rear upper control arms.

Yup, we opted in the end to sell the Cusco ones as they were the strongest design of the ones we evaluated:

they had the largest tubing diameter for cross section/strength

welds were all along the arm unlike the cheap china/taiwan made arms which would load the welds laterally where they were weakest

the curve of the Cusco arm gave slightly more strut clearance compared to the tanabe arm

It was a tough decision for us as the Cusco arms are a little pricey, and they didn't quite fit in our existing suspension lineup. But we are pretty selective about what we sell, and in this case this was the best design on the market...

Good stuff!

For those who are wondering, these WILL fit on S13's. S13's WOULD fit on S14 except the full "hoop" design interferes with the S14 damper. S15 is the same as S14.

So all you S13 owners who want to install that new set of coilovers easier or be able to take it out if you need to, get the S14 arms (if they are in your budget).

what's are the advantages/disadvantages of runing s14 RUCAs on an s13? s13 type RUCAs or s14/s15 RUCAs? it would appear that the loop of the s13 type would be stronger, but i hear and can see that the s14/s15 type RUCAs look way beefier than s13 RUCAs.

Here's what i want to know... if you guys wanted it at $300 and its $325.... what is another $25 when you are already spending $300+!!! Its 1/12th of 300. Lets do a comparison. 2 is 1/12 of 24. Would you not buy something if you thought it cost $24 but you found out it cost $26?

Ok and lets say you found what you WERE looking for for $26 but at the store next to it, you found it for $24 but it was a little less quality and the welds weren't as smooth and uniform and the material wasn't as high of a grade. Would you say hey man, i want to save 1/12 of the cost i dont care about that other stuff, or would you say, ok i can afford $24 no problem, so i will pay 26 and know i am gettign the best.

If you were thinking about buying RUCAS but could only barely afford $300, don't get RUCAS right now. If the $300 makes you broke enough where you can't afford $325, you need to save more or get a more important part or something. Anyways, thats just my $.14

When did you turn into the rainman? You wanna go to vegas with me and we can go hit up the high roller black jack tables?

Mad props to SPLparts. Always hooking up with the quality stuff. Listen to kuah and the rainman, they know what they are talking about.

IMHO, the pro S13 RUCAs are stronger than the S14 RUCAs, we would recommend sticking to the S13 specific RUCAs.
