Hey guys thanks for viewing. I recently slammed the jesus out of my s13 Convertable and being a newb to the s chassis crazy harness I rubbed through the harness under the drivers side fender. I unraveled the plastic and replaced the rubbed through wires. I though I did a good job tucking it but I didn't and it came back down and rubbed through again so I parked it. When I went to go start it again it only cranked and wouldn't start. Then the harness started glowing red and smoking so I immediately unhooked the positive terminal on the battery. Now I'm left with everything electrical being completly functional except for the rear running tailights and the car only cranks doesn't start. I would like to know if there is a repair for this or do I need to order a completly new harness. I really would personally appreciate some feedback. Thanks guys

All of the wires look fine and I cannot figure out which one was glowing red. Should I try to trace that one wire to the fuse panel? I'm also worried about ecu damage due to it not starting

Repair the wires again, check and replace fuses, and raise the damn car so your car doesn't burn next time.

I don't know exactly which wire is burnt though

So replace them all. Then tuck the harness into the engine bay so you don't rub on it.

Where do they start, the fuse box behind the driver side headlight?

Update, replaced wired and traced wire to fuse panel where it was disconnected to the fuel pump fuse

Tucked Harness up into fender with wire loom and self tapping screws after extending the whole harness 4 inches so there was no tension or reason to come back down. Bent the lip of the pinch weld up to act as a barrior. Replaced any burnt wires and covered any spots left exposed with electrical than hockey tape. Then checked and replaced all fuses and secured the fuse box to the bay. Now everything electrical is operating and I can now focus on making my vert BALLER AS FOOOOOK:cj:
