For sale is a blown turbo that came with a car I bought.
The compressor cover indicates it's a Garrett, but I don't see anything specific on the CHRA (which is coolant and oil cooled.) The turbine housing is a .82 T3, with surface rust from sitting.
Basically, the turbo had a drain problem, which pushed oil past the seals through the turbine (obvious oil on the wheel in the pic.) The compressor wheel has some damage (as seen in the pics.)
Not sure what to ask, since I don't specialize in the "blown-turbo" market. In looking at some blown turbo's that have recently sold, though, I guess we can start the price at $145 and see what that brings? If it's way off base, feel free to make an offer.
