haha, you'll love this, pretty much free. I traded a friend my s13 partscar, it was just a bare chasis too, no motor, suspension, brakes, interior etc...i think i got my money's worth. Oh, i only payed $350 CAD for the car.

only question is now, what size tires to run. I was thinking abot running 205/55's all around, but since the rears are 8" i don't know. Any suggestions.

i would say 215/55/16 front and 225/55/16 in the rear

What do you plan on doing with the car, motorsports wise if any? And are you on stock KA still? 205s would be fine all around, but it depends on use.

I would say 50 series. 55s are too tall!

I'll be attending some drift events here and there, but i really don't have the cash to fix alot if it breaks. The d2's and silvia front kind of tapped me out for cash for a bit. As for motors i had a nice sohc with about 11:1 compression, and a ported head, 3" exhaust, and no emmisions equipment, but i spun a baring last week so it's got a stock 91 dohc for now.

They're going on my 90 hb, 91dohc, silvia conversion, d2 coils etc.

It doesn't sound like you have enough power to push something like a sticky pair of 225s in the back, unless that SOHC motor of yours is really built. I'd have to recommend 205 all 'round. 205/50 would be my choice, but you could easily go 205/55 if you want a slighty more comfortable ride with better gas mileage.

Make sure you post some pics once you decide what tires to run and have everything mounted

comfortable ride? i have 7/5 d2's i think comfort is out the window, especilly with roads like the ones i have to drive on.

The sohc could have broke loose easy in the condition that it was in. it was about the same power as a friends stock sr. But sadly she's decided to call it quits.

The dohc, is stock so, maybe 205's are a good idea.

thanks for the advice.

holy crap. RUN SPACERS! I bought my wheels used too, they were 16x7 +38 and 16x8 +38. You're a little better off in the front than I was, but believe me... in a few weeks, maybe months you're gonna hate how sunk in they are.

Just don't buy Touge Factory spacers... ugh.

I test fitted them yesterday when we were installing a friends d2's (mine are going in monday after i finnish relocating the harness and get rid of the seam weld) and they looked very close to flush. I'll post up some pics later this week when i get tires on them.

As for spacers go, they appear to be fine without them, but if they sit in farther than they appeared to, i'll just make a set up.

how far out they are on a car off the ground is NOT how they will fit when the cars dropped. ecspecially when your coilover drop adds camber. spacers please :)

Legacy

depends on your definition of flush. I'm just telling you right now... far from flush. To me, it seems 7J +8 in the front w/205/55 and 8J +13 w/225/50 is pretty flush for me. That's with about 1.5 - 1.75 camber.

please use a 30mm spacer haha. but nice wheels.

Meaning the face is sunken into the wheel, not the wheel sunken into the body.

yeah, these were supposed to be 16x7 +25 all around, but whatever, they were "free" so i'm not going to complain. Tho a sunken in face would look killer.

I'm actually running 215's in the front, 235's in the rear. Feels nice. Plus I actually find the D2's with 7/5 to be rather comfy.

You two wait until I'm done my KAT, only manifold to go, then death... for you.

The right diameter for the S13 is 205/55 16 in front and 225/50 16 in the rear for 7/8 inch rim fitment. Very common sizes and the most popular for that set up.

You can fit some other sizes as well, just up to you and how accurate you want your speedo to be.

Free? wow. No reason to complain at all. excellent... more power to ya, dogg. If you get tired of the sunk in look, as in flushness not spoke design, maybe check out www.wheeladapters.com

High quality or so I hear.
