After driving several other cars such as a z28, 325i, r32 (VW :p ) and a civic I've come to the conclusion that there is something very wrong with my clutch pedal. On all of these cars, there is a definate point in the play of the clutch pedal where it engages/disengages. On my s14, however, there is no definate point of engagement where you can feel the pedal get firmer. Is there something wrong with my clutch, slave cylinder, or fluid? I really don't know what the deal is.
Thanks,
-Mike

well if you still have stock pressure plate + clutch.. and you still have damper box... the clutch should feel pretty light.. at least thats what i remember before i put 6 puck clutch in mine..

oh, the clutch is pretty light, but there is no DEFINATE point of engagement. My clutch engages over about a 4 or 6 inch distance. Just doesn't seem right. I know it isn't right. I've driven many other stock cars with stock clutches and it jsut doesn't feel this way.

no damper box on s14. bleed your clutch.

I dont know about a damper box, but there's a damper loop on my S14. I tossed that POS out a while back, and bleeding the clutch could make the pedal feels a bit better like soldats said.

Make sure that your clutches are properly adjusted to spec within teh height and freeplay.
I did that along with flucshign the entire clutch system with synthetic fluid, taking out the dampner and replacing stock rubber line with an SS hard line and it feels TEN time better and I am still on the stock clutch...
