Previous owner of my motor has taken the upstanding liberty of stripping the threads on my oil filter housing attached to the block. Motor is coming out of my car so I can change gaskets, seals, engine bay work ect.
This thing to clarify:

My question is, is there somewhere I can buy an OEM replacement since it just bolts onto the block. Am I better off looking for a blown engine part out or something. Also another option is oil filter relocation, which I don't know much about. The picture below shows an aftermarket adapter. It looks like it replaces the whole assembly, rather than the ones that just have a sandwich plate. Am I right? If I buy that piece, what else do I need as far as lines and everything goes?

Can't see the pics because I'm at work. Yes, the thing in question is replaceable.

Second, if you get an aftermarket oil block; you will need -AN lines & fittings to go from the block to the remote filter... Usually -10 AN.

Everything you need and a whole lot of other shit you don't: Oil filter - FRSport.com Search (http://www.frsport.com/index.php?target=products&mode=searchImproved&q=Oil+filter&x=11&y=8&page=1)

Any clue if there's a place I can find an OEM replacement?

Also, do I have to buy the 265 dollar relocation kit? Or is it cheaper to buy the block that I posted, lines, and the remote oil filter housing?

SR or KA?

If SR, I have one for ya.

As far as which relocation kit to use, there are plenty out there that won't run you $265... But just remember- in many cases, you get what you pay for.

Option B: You can always retap the hole.
