Worked fine for years, tore it down for a head gasket and my excitement to fire it up for the first time was cut short by nothing happening when I cranked the key from on to start.

I jumped the poles on the starter and it cranked the motor. I'm not getting any voltage to the signal wire at the starter.

Inside the car I seem to be getting proper voltages at all 5 wires on the ignition. All electronics power on with the key including fuel pump, just don't get it to crank when I turn it to start. I'm not getting any voltage at the orange start signal wire coming from the ECU(I wanna say it's pin number 34)

Any ideas on where to go next? Anyone know the wire coming out of the ECU that leads to the starter signal pole?

There is a small ground wire on the lower harness that goes to the starter ground... Only supplies ground to the starter during crank. Make sure it's connected and/or has good continuity to chassis ground.

Got and pics of where it is? I may have pulled it while removing the IM but can't find any loose/missing wires.

It push clips right onto the starter, mine is green. Look under there for a little tab on the starter similar to the gauge sensor for coolant temp. The wire should be coming from around the pass side fuse box somewhere.

From what you're saying with the start signal wire not working, I would say your problem is the ignition column.

Did you get all the other grounds on the motor attached also? Check the ignition switch itself, also.
