all right...I am determined to make my car what it should have been had it not been born into the united states.  If I wanted to make my car a true 180sx what would I need?  I know where I can get the spoiler and I'd probably get aftermarket wheels anyways.  There is the front end which is totally different with totally different driving lights and turn signals and then theres the rear end with the taillights.  Does the type x use the circle tails or the same as us with 180sx instead of 240sx?  I know I can probably get either one.  On the interior I would re upholster everything with leather and try to hook up that digital a/c controller if I could...beyond all of that there is the most important thing...the engine.  Now I'm not sure but I think the type x had an sr20det in it, not the ca18det, but I plan to put the ca in anyways because I like it better.  This is all far away time-wise and I am just dreaming right now.  I guess the question is: is there anything I forgot that would be needed to transform the pathetic weakling 240sx fastback into the animal 180sx type x?

LanceS13 might know, i think he plans on turning his into a Type X replica if I recall correctly. But dont take my word for it.

Only differences in appearance between Type X and regular, non-turbo RPS13 180sx (Type S and G) is trivial.. I think you might be confusing the RPS13 for a Type X... Our 240sx hatchback was identical to the 180sx of the same years... Same taillights, same front end, same wheels, etc...

To see what I'm stabbing at, go to <a href="http://www.nissan.co.jp/180SX/

To" target="_blank">http://www.nissan.co.jp/180SX/

To</a> compare it to a Silvia...
Type S = J's
Type G = Q's
Type X = K's

Oh, if you want to make an RPS13 Type X replica. . keep in mind the stock wheels for it are the same as the G20t wheels and 97-98 240sx 15 inch alloy wheels.. Just a thought. =) I wanted to do the same thing to my 180sx hehe

If I could import any Nissan to the states, it'd be a 1998 180sx Type X. . that'd be fun to have people tell you your car is a 93 =)

you're forgetting a MAJOR thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's easily overlooked.

my lil brother will be doing this same type of conversion in the future as well once he's done HS and gets an RPS13:

obviously you mentioned the lights and everything which make the 180sx a lil different than the 240 hachi,
but the 1 thing which distinguishes a 180sx from a 240sx is it's rear windows! they say &quot;180sx&quot; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
it's something easily overlooked... but if you're going for complete conversion, why overlook this small detail?

Good point... Hard to get ahold of, but I've seen these go on eBay a few times in the past... &nbsp;

how much do they go for?
anyone know?
how much does a Nissan dealership ship them for?
they ARE JDM OEM pieces... ?
anyone have any ideas?
I'm in Canada... prices would be different here than in the States.

I was thinking about that too...I haven't seen them for sale recently but I bet I could just put radiohead stickers over them until I find some
