Insurance money

I wrecked my daily driver last night, and I'm wondering if there's any way I can avoid getting completely screwed over (I was at fault). I'm wondering if I have the option of getting money from my insurance company for the estimate instead of having them do the repairs. I'd rather do that and just sell the car wrecked then go through the hassle of having it fixed. (it's a civic, which is why i care very little about the car).
