I was driving home from clubbing last night at about 4am, going about 85-90. There were a few cars on the road, but not too many. I look over and see a car speeding up behind me on my left side, so I let go of the throttle, and eased back to about 75. When I saw the car coming up I could make out the lights on top of his car from some backlight.

Anyways, he rolled up next to me, and I waved and smiled, he waved back and smiled. All the while my girlfriend and her friend were asleep in the car. Then he rolls back a little bit and gets on the loud speaker and says "The speed limit is 65, not 85." Then I gave him the thumbs up and he took off.

My view on cops is now refreshed. They can be very nice people sometimes.

Oh, btw, when the loudspeaker went off my girlfriend woke up and was like "what the ####!?'. hahahah

I sped past them, and they stopped next to me at the next light going like "Were you speeding back there?" (in a funny tone of voice). So, I went like "No....". They told me to be careful, waved to me, and took off . I was happy!

Well, girls (at least around here) seem to get off much easier when pulled over. My friends girl has been pulled over like 5 times, each time deserving a ticket, but she hasn't gotten one yet

Yeah...cops can be pretty cool sometimes. Once I was coming back from Chicago in my g/f's (now former g/f...don't have one now, THANK GOD! Sorry to all the women on the forum...sometimes you girls can be a PITA! HEHE) '97 Maxima...Dropped, with Enkei WunGuns, Stillen Body Kit...that factory color Dark Evergreen...Anyways...I'm driving on I-65 about 80ish...(Speed limit is 65 of course), and the Taurus goes zipping by. I was like, "Aww...#### no..." I lay into the throttle and match up with it. We're doing like 100+. I start to creep up on the Taurus's bumper and all of the sudden a quick flash of one red and one blue light come from his rear window...I just dropped WAYYY the #### back and proceeded to soil myself. Hehe...that sure scared the #### outta me! Rob's had some similar experience's with cops...Haven't ya?

Hee, hee!

I've never been pulled over. I got a collection of parking tickets, but never gotten a moving violation (thank God).

Once my friend in his Mustang decided to fly by my friend in his maxima to show off, well a cop came behind him and he thought it was the maxima so he speed up, well he got pulled over for doing 95 in a 45 But then my friend in the Maxima rode by as the were handcuffing my friend (for there safety there supposed to) and they were searching his car. Turns out we knew the Cop cause he knew my friends sister, so the kid in the mustang got off with nothing I got off a speeding ticket because I was wearing my Pizza Hut uniform (cops respect the free food ) Exept for 2 tickets I had all but good experiences with cops, even the when I got a "noise ordinance" ticket the cop was a nice lady

being a LITTLE bit older, ive had lots of conversations with cops (especially in last 4yrs since ive gotten involved in Sport Comp scene). it mostly comes down to RESPECT.....if u show any disrespect theyre gonna bust ya. the other is negligence....if ur simply doin somethin STUPID and dangerous theyre gonna bust ya!
a state cop buddy of mine works the hgwy to Grand Rapids....he sees the guys headin into town to club and back out to go home. he can ALWAYS tell em.....blue headlights with a slight "bounce" (lowered cars!). he always pulls em over if speeding 10+ over, but usually doesnt give tickets (unless disrespectful!) cuz hes STILL a hot rodder.....still has his mod'd Plymouth Horizon GLH Turbo. the POS halls ass! he told me hes even let guys go for 90+ in a 65 just cuz theyre respectful! cool guy.

dang....i wish i could run into the cops you guys are talking about...i have never gotten tickets (because i never speed) ...but the cops i always run into have that "#### trouble making racer" attitude...and they pull me over to check if my car is "too low" which leads into an entire search of my car....usually these are military police

GLH's were fast back in the day, i had one kinda.....not turbo though. my latest cop experience was kind of funny. i walked into a quicktrip to get a blueberry bagel for breakfast, and out of the corner of my eye i see a state patrolman getting coffee. i walk quickly over to the dount/bagel thing (late for work) and start my selection for the perfect bagel. i mumble to myself, ####, no bagels. he turns to me slowly, puts his lid on his cup, and says 'YOU THINK YOU FUNNY HUH?' i look up at him with a blank face, then my eyes get wide because not only is this guy talking to ME, he looks like that talk show host Montel Williams! i say.....uhhh no..why. "you trying to be a joker, you see me over by the donuts and you think OH, I'M GOING TO MAKE FUN OF THE COP BY GETTING A DONUT, i know what you're thinking, and it ain't funny." by now i'm trying not to laugh, because either he's joking or he's some psycho cop so i don't want to risk laughing. so i say.. no man, actually i just wanted a bagel...then i started laughing because he was so #### serious and it was unexpected. then i hear the guys behind the counter laughing and the patrolman said 'i'm just joking man'. we all had a good laugh. that was the first time i went in there in the morning, and the cop probably stops in there every day. the workers seemed to know him and they were chatting with him. actually he seemed like a normal guy unlike most cops.

The other day I was pulled over for going a little bit over and the copy was actually pretty cool. He was even polite and said "I'll get you out of here in just a minute," and didn't give a ticket. So despite having some bad experiences in the past, I guess some cops are pretty cool.

Verry long post --- sorry!!!!

Ok...I will give ya a quick background about where I live. I live in Regina Saskatchewan Canada which is a city of about 200,000 and is full of wanna be's and ricers with Civics and Integras. I drive one of maybe 5 S14's in town so to say that my car is rare here is an understatement.

So it is a Saturday night about 10pm and I am minding my business driving about 5 kms/hr over the speed limit in an area with stores and restraunts. I look in my rear view mirror and I see some pretty flashing lights so I pull it over and wait for the cop to come talk to me. He comes up to the window with the normal flashlight in hand. This is how it went:

Cop - Hi how are you? Is this car yours?
Me - Yes.
Cop - So I hear you have some pretty interesting stuff under the hood.
Me - I say 'uhmmm yeah sure'.
Cop - Mind if I have a look?

By this time I am trying to figure out what the heck he was talking about and why he was so interested in my basically stock KA with Injen CAI. So I proceeded to get out and proceed to the front of the car.

Hood still closed:

Cop - So how much did it cost ya and did you do it yourself?

Me - Yeah I did it myself and it put me back a couple of hundred. (me thinking that somehow heard about my intake or something)

Hood now open:

Cop - Oh.....(confused look on his face). I heard you got the SR20DET in here.

Me - Uhmm no. where did ya hear that?

Cop - (Now laughing). Ah... my brothers friend, who I now beleive is a big Bull$hitter.

Me - You know you scared the fuck out of me because of all this.

Cop - sorry man. I drive a ITR and was just excited about the possibility of a 'Real' import in the city....

So we sat there and chatted it up for a bit. I have seen him several times since and he always waves or flashes his lights at me. One time he even pulled up beside me at the lights and was revving like he wanted to race.

Cool cop. I wish they were all like that.

Once again sorry for the long post.

I've gotten pulled over (and let go) maaaaaaaaaaany many times.. maybe 15 pull-overs, 3 or 4 tickets. Some were for minor violations like front license plate (CA), others were for more serious things like doing a speed that they didnt catch me at but if they DID they'de be very pissed with me!

Well, the way I drive.. they're always pissed at me.. but thats part of being a loon. I'm not exactly a calm driver.. I go through spurts.. 1 second I am calm, then as soon as the road opens up or allows, I like to have some fun behind the wheel. I'm a spirited driver.. thats all.

Anyway, almost ALL the cops that have pulled me over were nice.. and its all about being respectful. There is a certain procedure that EVERYONE should know about.. its called shutting up and putting your hands on the wheel with the car OFF and radio OFF. Now that he's got your attention, admit that your soeed DID get out of hand but you cant recall the exact figure. I always blame it on my new CD and say I got fired up with my music. Most cops understand that, because who doesnt love a good song! But, be sure to admit that it was your mistake.

Anyway, last cop nabbed me for doing 53 in a 35 in Los Angeles (Laurel Canyon).. really nice cop. I think the reason he gave me the ticket is because I was going to teach that new 2001 Altima a lesson.. and that guy was driving fast too.. but he made a quick left and left me. Bastard altima.. I'll get him next time around. ANYWAY, cop was really cool.. even let me get out of the car and use the Lasergun on other cars! We kicked it for about 10-15 minutes.. nice guy.

2 things
I just got pulled over for the second time for blue washer nozel lights and the first time the cop was a dick and folowed me to my house and scared my mom the second one was real cool and just told me that i "could" get a ticket for them.

also talking about raceing a cop
i race in china town in chicago and a fellow mixed breeds member raced an ambulance. He was driveing his moms chevy van and he beat the ambulance by atleast a van and a half. it was very funny. then that ambulance raced another ambulance (i wonder why people die in chicago alot??? i mean with such dedicated paramedics???) lol

that has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read. ambulance versus ambulance. I wonder how fast they were going, I mean, do ambulances mod their shit too? Chicago is kinda phat, I look forward to visiting that city and racing a fire truck
