the only persons car that i know is Society Mike. his blue s14 has shaved 3rd brake light. i saw his car and made my decision to shave mine. i'll go find the pictures

Zenki JDM ones have a rear brake light if they dont have the Aero package. They are essentially (baring different grill, shaped turn signals, and buldging sidemarkers) similar to USDM S14 zenki.

Aero Package Zenki with the Navan 3 piece wing, Aero grill, and Aero (often mislabelled navan) front bumper cover; do not have rear 3rd brake lights because of the navan wings integrated 3rd brake light.

hmm my trunk does not have the navan wing. it has the same wing as US got, but it hasd the 3rd brake light in it. and it's clear. i put a picture.

I can check my hyper rev volume 19 that would be the easiest way to see if it has a rear brake light. =P

cant really tell with out seeing the sides both the low stock wing and the navan look the same to me at those angles. But yah the navan wing has a red LED down the center. Silvia tend to have the emblem on left also.

Japan s14 have 3rd brake light, this HKS kansai car has it, trust me its a zenki its actually the car the caused me to buy a s14 in 1995

Zenki S14 in japan have a 3rd brake light and non aero's have a wing thats identical to USA s14.

i assure you there is no tom foolry. it is the same as a US wing, but it has the clear 3rd brake light integrated in. and no trunk mounted light. i love it. gonna take the silvia sticker off i think.

if you pay a shpo to do the body work and paint, i would say probably same as getting the JDM trunk and having a shop paint it


it really depends on luck and costs and how much you can do yourself...could go either way

so far ive shaved:

shaved trunk holes. [my car is base too..previous owner put an SE wing on..he did a shitty job i see 5 holes. 4 holes that line up wing and 1 hole that is fucked up haha stupid ass]
shaved antenna

and thinking bout 3rd brake light..and most likely i will after seeing mikes car

cleaned up my rear quater panel crash and all door dings too.

gonna get the whole car painted a new color and door jams too...all for 150 bucks =]

About how much would a jdm trunk lid run for? Trying to estimate costs because I'm getting a base model s14 in black next week and the paint is in good condition with a few blemishes that a good claying can get rid of. The trunklid is spoiler less and I can always sell it after I get the Jdm trunk lid. Shaved 3rd brake lights look hot IMO. But then again I want to shave off the antenna so I'm thinking it would be easier to shave it all at once.

i got the hooks on this kinda stuff...thats y when Aaron was lookin around for somebody to paint his car..he was bout to go to me and i woudl of done it for him cheap...end of story. last time i check..spray paint didnt come in gallons

im using PPG for base..as for clear..not sure yet..havent bought it yet

im using PPG becuz PPG is factory paint for most cars..and the color i chose is a factory color. juss not on Nissans.

suppose to paint the car this sunday..but havent shaved 3rd brake light yet..kinda getting lazy

hmm....iono? I didnt know you had a conversion. But its just like any other kit or front end....its a front end that will be painted.

Spray paint jobs on small things can come out nice if done right i.e. model cars haha. I've seen a few car spray paint my jobs myself on the street and they looked like complete shit. A guy at school ( csulb) had his hooked up riced out corolla spray painted silver wiht blue tailight covers... LOL his car looked like crap. I used to see it around campus and wondered who it belonged and he turned out to be in my chem class. He put a 3ft wing on it, custom mickey moused hydraulic suspension haha, and ugly cheap looking 17inch chrome rims. The way i met this guy is that I over heard a conversation he was having and he was talking about putting a trd racing block or someshit f or his auto corolla. I jumped in and started asking him what use he had for the mods done to the car etc... basically playing stupid. Biggest ricer in my life. Turns out he got into an accident later int he semester and rpimered his car black. Looked way better than hes 4 hour spray paint job. A fucking 5 yr old with a a paint gun can put a spray paintjob to shame. Why spend the time and money spray painting to do it right when it canbe done right inthe first place with the proper equipment in half the time...

btw im bored at work so I kill time alot on forums all day.

how do you get paint so cheap?? even if it's hookups, $150 is way to cheap for paint +materials. how many base coats, clear coats are you gonna spray?

how is 150 not believable? becuz u cant get it for tha tmuch..doesnt mean i cant. i gave my pops 2 bills for paint. he came back to me and handed me back 50 bucks.

no my parents didnt try and hide and pay the rest. when it comes to cars..its all me. hell my dad was bout to charage me for labor juss for life experience. but he didnt.

materials? we have everything ourselves. we got the spray gun..we have our own. we got a compressor. we got all that crap. our garage has materials like a shop.

my dad has been working in the automotive industry for bout 20 years...he does engine to body to paint. does domestic to euro to import.

dont u think after 20years of working..u make friends and get good hooks?

heres a fine example for u. Aaron..how long has he been in the drift scene or watever..i know less than 20yrs consider Aaron is probably like 25ish..he couldnt of started drifting when he was 5. and look at all the hooks he got now..plenty for how long?

apply that to 20yrs
