broken ignition help

ok so my buddy just snapped his key and ignition car still starts from the clifford remote but what does he do? what parts does he need and is it an easy fix? please chime in..need help asap....yes ive researched but i have no idea what to search for ive never heard of this or seen it before. please help!!!

btw its a sr20det black top in a 1996 240sx manual car

He needs a new ignition or used with a new key. You need to cut out the special bolts they use.
