I am looking for a drivers side axle for a 90-96 300zx twin turbo. It's the six bolt axle not the 5 bolt axle and it is about 24.5 inches long. Can anybody help please. Thanks...

carpart.com and almost all other parts sites do not have this part.

Most sites say "send in your old axle and we will rebuild it" and the doesn't help us doing the q45 diff swap.

You can try WTB section, but I've been looking and have had no lucky as of lately. They are hard to find.

It is so hard to find. No auto parts stores carry it anymore. Rock auto can't get it either. I am doing the q45 diff swap and all i need is that z32 drivers axle to finish it but i have the an extra q45 axle and i heard that the 350z axle is the same length just a different spline so i was wondering if it was possible to change the splines from the q45 axle to the 350z axle and make it work that way. Just an idea.

The 350z axle is the same length as the z32 tt axle is what i heard. Not sure about that either.

Nope, nope nope nope... no auto places have one.. only place you can source one is OEM Nissan, for 720 bucks.

All the rest say they have one, but they only rebuild.

350z has a 29 spline, the hubs and diff set up you have needs a 31.

Sadly, you can only use the 32TT axle... and good luck, my diff has been sitting next to my car with one axle for months...

MHO, go with z32 diff, smaller and uses J30s... and youll get your vlsd

Okay, well I just called Oreilly... PN#'s for 1996 300ZX w/VG30DETT are 60-6338 and 60-6339 for left & right, respectively. Price is $108.92 each.

Perfect timing, I am parting out my 1997 which had a Q45 diff, Z32 LH TT axle and Q45 LH axle.

Here is a picture:

Shoot me an offer on the Z32 TT LH axle.

108.92 with core, core is 125, shipping and surcharge is 25. And the guy has to call me back to even see if they have any available or in stock anywhere. Ive done this at auto zone and advance, with the same answers. They are hard to find.

Whatever makes you feel better. Give them back some nappy shafts off an S13 or S14... They don't know the difference as long as they get a core...

Second- 108 plus 25 plus 125 = 258. Lot cheaper than 720. The guy at Oreilly said he could have them here by Monday.

This thread asks for options... I provided options. Have a great day.

Oreillys say they can get it but when they try to order it it says that they are out of stock. Believe me i have tried that. I have even went to auto parts stores in other states. They can take your old axle and rebuild it for you and thats about it.

I know the splines are different on the 350z's and the q45's but is it possible to take the axle apart and swap the splines out some kind of way? I have never taken apart an axle before so i don't know what it looks like underneath the axle boot.

Thanks bro!!! I purchased one from them just now and they only have one left. I purchased it via a best offer and not the $150 by the way. ;)
