I hit a bump the other day, and was rewarded by an odd sound. I carefully got the car home, only to find that at least three of the rubber exhaust mounts are broken, essentially leaving the exhaust supported only by it's attachment to the cat.
What should I be doing to rectify the situation? Looking at the mounts, they almost seem like something I could do myself. But my car needs a trip to the mechanic anyway (to have trans. swap done, take care of brake problems, etc), so I think I just need to figure out how to keep the exhaust secured for the 20 min freeway trip to my shop. Any suggestions?
One other thing.... What are the chances my exhaust is damaged? I mean, I wouldn't be too sad to hear that I had an excuse to get an EXMAG....
