is there any way to make a rashed wheel look new again? I scuffed up one of my meshies today and am super bummed, i babied them and always had the lips all shined up and now one is ugly :( I would like to get it fixed since the rest of the set are so nice. any info or advice is greatly apreciated.

I remember reading something about a guy who repaired one of his porsche wheels, it seemed pretty easy.

Edit: I found it.

You can't spray "polished lip" out of a can...different for painted wheels

Buy a new trim ring or let these guys repair it for a fee...

It can very much be fixed. You could either ask around on prices to see how much it costs. I had a bent rim, with some rash, and they fixed it, looks brand new. It was Wheels America (http://www.fixrim.com), kind of expensive though. 79 bucks to fix the lip, you live in Cali, I am sure there are more places to fix wheels there.

It's around $65 to re-weld a damaged lip. If it just needs a polishing cuz the rash is minor, a professional repolish is around $35.

i repaired one of my racing harts that had some rash.it was pretty easy. take the tire off and get some sandpaper.sand it down using progressively finer grit then polish with a benchwheel and a couple stages of metal polish.mine looks like new.

I had a ton of road rash on my stock steelies. I got some 40 grit sand paper and sanded the scrapes out. Turned out pretty good. I sanded them down so far that the machine marks on the wheels were gone and I polished the crap out of them. When I was them, they ALMOST look like chrome wheels.
