I would sooner build my KA than swap an engine into my car...but for curiosities sake, where do you get things like belts, plugs, thermostats and oil filters for a swapped JDM engine? Like if you put a skyline engine into your 240 where would you go for these parts?

heck half the companies that support the 240 community are starting to stock that stuff. plugs? umm autozone? oil filter... autozone, belts hose? autozone.... just have to know how to crossreference. Heavy Throttle has a section under their FAQs with what us parts to look for that are equivelant. but of course they and phase2 and several others have all the stuff you'd need.

Spark plugs are spark plugs. Just get some with the proper thread and heat range and you're good to go. Belts are generic, just know the thickness and size. Oil filters are fairly generic, get one with the same capacity and thread pattern/size and you're good.

I like seeing people doing research before jumping into a swap because it's the mad JdM c00l y0 thing to do. It's my view that if you do a swap you should intimately know the engine, but I just like cars that much :)

he isnt doing research, he's asking stupid questions that could have been answered with a 5 minute search, as always.
