to my knowledge, i own the very 1st one...thanks to my buddy [email protected]

but being the 1st owner of anything has its drawbacks =/

D'oh!

can you throw up some more detailed pics - ie underside, fitment of the side and rear seams

what exactly did the little disclaimer mean by "extremely fragile" is it that thin? or are they just talking about composites in general being prone to chipping?

i saw this piece on enjuku's site as well. how much was it for the whole thing? im assuming fitment was great. the trunk lock is on the wrong side? im assuming you have the hatchlid for fastback. that's weird, i thought the jdm trunk luck is in the same position as usdm. how is the quality. is it real cf or just fiberglass w/ a layer of cf like importfans cf products?

import fan also makes a cf hatchlid. supposedly its on mckinney motorsports cars. this would be a nice upgrade for weight reduction since they offer or are going to offer lexan glass which should reduce some serious weight for fastback.

no i have the s14 trunk and jdm tails, its a mistake by chargespeed

the fragile means what it says, its a light weight cf piece, dont go sledding with it :)

the fragile was more for the s13 hatch, cuz of the removing of the rear windshield

edit: the trunk top is cf and the inside/tail light mounting panel is fiberglass

The cf trunk on enjuku had no "slot" for a third brake light. Did yours come with one?

I wanted to get the chargespeed one but I ran out of money. Plan on getting one though would look good on my black s14 with my carbon hood and black wheels. Props man, that looks badass.

how about weight difference? that would justify the price of buying this thing. Such as a carbon hood versus our heaveir than fuck stock 240 hood.

justinhustle
05-05-2004, 10:18 PM
by just general touch its seriously atleast 40% lighter

i can carry both with one arm, but the cf trunk is like carrying the mail in vs the stock trunk which is like carrying 35 lb screaming toddler with one arm

ill try to get real weights tomorrow too
