Ok so I currently have the pos ebay projector style headlights and the lighting sucks even with hid's
What I am looking for is a housing that actually directs the light down to the road properly because the ones I have now do not project the light in any specific direction
Any first hand exp would be appriciated
If you leave a review or comment please be specific to brand, model, and if possible where you purchased them from

Please do not leave a comment stating that I need to adjust my headlights they don't direct the light in any one specific direction so adjusting them is of little gain

To do it right get your plastic ebay ones, open them up and put some projectors in there from TRS

why not get a set of autopal housings and put the h4 hid in them? they cost like 20-50 bucks and are euro spec??

i retrofitted mine with s2000 projectors and 4300k phillips d2s HID's and let me tell you my light pattern is like a brand new Benz or BMW look at their light pattern at night its awesome and you get spoiled so when you get back into a shitty car with shitty lights you feel blind at night

The Autopal I bought were absolute dog shit. I would NOT recommend that brand.

I say buy the Bosch H4 housings and put regular Sylvania bulbs in them. I Have those and Sylvanias brightest bulb(not the FakID blue junk) and my lighting is significantly more focused and not to mention safer for me and other drivers on the road than when I had HIDs. Its not all euro look but the line is pretty crisp and it does not blind oncoming drivers yet is brighter due to being focused and not just tossed everywhere. Plus it is less extra crap to go wrong, IDK if it was just shitty brands or what but bulbs were always burning out and I replaced three ballast in two years.

Good point I don't need hids or any special color/look I am after function this is a daily driver not a show car or trailer queen that o ly sees track

I know this is kinda a lot to ask but any one that has a not factory lighting setup can you post pics of the light pattern obviously needs to be a night timr pic and a description of your setup please and thank you

I run these (http://www.rhdjapan.com/raybrig-multi-reflector-head-lamp-h4-15978) with non-HID, Raybrig 4900K xenon bulbs- Lighting is AWESOME!!! Can't post a pic b/c I don't have access to my photo stash from work.

Weird, I love mine. No issues, great output, half the price of the others.

What did you not like about them?

Mine is pretty much like the Hella vs OEM comparison part way down. Using the same bulbs and the housings are pretty much the same. There is also some info on a projector retro.
