November 29th 2011, my Facebook profile picture was the rear end of my favorite Silvia.
The caption started as "coming soon.." A year later it read "eventually."

Today, however; I'm living my dream.

Before I go any further I just want to say thank you to all the people that helped me through this whole adventure. Especially my good friend Pablo and my momma P; thanks guys.

It started late November 2012 with a Hatch.

But that ended quickly..

http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y473/TomScrapp/1515_zpsbc79c158.jpg

I wrecked into a stone wall three days after bringing her home. Damage was mostly cosmetic but the plan was to swap out of this shell anyway because the frame rails were shott.
That night I called my buddy, Pablo who had a '93 Vert on jack stands collecting dust in his garage.
I had my work cut out for me..

This was my first build so I kept things pretty simple. As soon as something got ripped out of the Hatch it got thrown in the Vert. Upgrades and doctoring where needed.

Getting the Vert grounded was a bit sentimental for both Pablo and me.

That shell had plagued him for the better of two years. Sitting there on jack stands, in pieces; a very depressing and hopeless sight. Now on the ground and lite with hope.

Took a couple weeks to strip the bay down, rip out the seamsealer and throw a little bondo around.

My buddy @Davey_auers helping out in the bay. He kills the mk4 game. Bagged Gli on ThLines

It is noo show car by any means but I was very happy with how it came out.
Break lines were all shot, soo the plumber in me had to run copper; very happy with them.

With the car on the ground and the bay ready to go it was time to pull the motor. Unfortunately I didn't have much choice of places to park the Hatch up for the dissection. Pulling that motor was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. But we did what we could with the resources we had.

Once out, it sat outside my house, under a tarp for a week until I was able to borrow my father's truck and deliver it to the "G."

A few days later it was time. She went in without a fuss, "in one Tailor Swift song." (The random Tailor Swifter song on the radio lol)

I spent enough time using this poor kid's garage so now that all the hard stuff was over it was time to bring'er home.

Since she's been home I have been none stop working on her.
Little projects her and there to get her presentable to the general public.

Now all that's left is an alignment, a tune and some paint.

Now that I have the bulk of the build posted I will be updating periodically to show the progress. She's only going to get better.
