ok so I bought Q45 front brake calipers a long time ago and can't remember what year Q45 they are from, but I need to purchase brake pads and that info could be helpful. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/941202_10201039960335260_2118703812_n.jpg

incase the numbers are not that clear, they read 12E, 28, R, 36

please help!

msglngth is short for Message Length. There's a 10 character minimum and "1995" only takes 4, so its just a filler.

lol at this thread :D

The reason I know is because I just did the brake swap on my car.

You have to type atleast 10 "characters" or letters to post a message on here. Since he answered your question with "1995", that only fills 4 of the 10 required letters needed to post. So by typing "msglength", it fills out the other 6 letters needed for him to post his reply. It means nothing, its just used to fill the requirement.

Why not just get some z32 caps from autozone for $160.00 new??

Not trying to be funny. I didn't tell a joke did I?

Your inability to comprehend is a little amusing. Sorry lol

I got a great deal on these with steal braided lines and hawk pads and new rotors that's why i'm going to stick to these, but the issue was someone at work thought since they were in the back they were scrap. They were tossed out and I was able to retrieve them minus one hawk pad.

Now I need new pads.

no need for z32s unless you want to show off. Q45 brakes are the same thing but better, because they allow you to fit any wheel you want. Trust me, Ive had two sets of z32s and sold them to replace them with my Q45s. Good choice.

Stop talking. Just....shut up.

You just compared a 4 piston front, 2 piston rear set up to 2 piston front 1 piston rears.

Stop.

I will not continue to write. But only because your ignorance is not worth wasting time on.

You may think its "better" because its weaker stopping power is perfect for your stretched baby tires.

But for some of us with big boy tires, and a lot of power, we actually benefit from a Z32 set up.

q45 brakes actually have similar torque to z32 brakes.

Q45 front brakes are 2 piston sliding
Z32 front brakes are 4 piston fixed
stock are single piston sliding (front and rear)

Not to mention, q45's bolt on with no issues.

z32's require conversion lines, z32 brake master cyl, and wheels which are able to fit them.

Downside to q45's are they don't look as awesome.

Well the way this community is, everybody upgrades to bigger, low offset wheels anyways lol

I like Q brakes because it's almost a free upgrade. Z brakes look better and perform well. I can't say much for the braking power of either. I just know they're an upgrade over stock for damn sure.

I wish there was an easier rear upgrade.

Don't forget that your brakes are only as good as your tires.
