hey guys i can use little help with this avcr BC. i just need to know if i have it set up right with boost and duty. i had it set to .85bar with a duty of 43% the car boosted about 18psi on my boost gauge.i checked my boost level in the avcr and it was saying i was hitting 1.28bar. i have self learning on but the avcr never learned its duty cause iw as over shooting the boost so i get it now.

so i went out and just changed the target boost to 1.2bar set the duty to 20% and worked my way up till i hit target boost. right about 40% the car started hitting target boost pretty close.so i tryed to up i to 42% duty and i over shot 1.24 so i lowered it back to 40% and i didn't get to make a pull again.

i would like to know if this sounds like im on the right track with this BC.
i feel like i am getting but from what i been reading if ur at 1.0bar then u should start ur duty at 70% if i was to set my duty to 70 the car would over boost to 30psi. so i just set duty to 20% and worked my way from in boost so i dont hurt anything. i watched it go from 14.7 to about 18psi. i just want to know if anyone else is useing this and if anyone would know if my duty is about right for my target boost?

i would just like to know that i am doing this right and to keep on this track. im only questioing myself cause of what im seeing everyone else is boosting 1.2 and 1.0 with 70% duty and im just about hitting target boost with 40% is this normal?

thanks very much guys.

Hello!
Your technique is pretty good.. Depending on what turbo your using you can spike and overboost a little to help with spool, and hopefull it settles down a little. Of course watch your afr's if possible too. I used my gopro for a few wot pulls and watched the footage so i could see exactly what my afrs did in correlation to my boost. Poor mans dyno chart

That's a great Idea useing a go pro to go back and see what happen ill have to do the same with my iPhone if I can. But for the most part I think I got it I have a dyno set up for Saturday I'm hoping for the best.

A big problem I had with my avcr was my feedback setting. I would over shoot or my boost would surge quite a bit, bit once I upped the feedback number, it seemed to solidify my target boost numbers. Hope that helps some.

Yea I think I have them all set to 3 across the board. It feels like now that I changed the settings to 1.2 bar instead of .85 it feels like its not hitting that hard. It felt that .85bar was hitting harder then 1.2bar I don't why maybe its just me. Ill need to do a few pulls tonight and see what happens none the less it still feels good. Should I up my feedback to maybe 5 across the board?

I think its pretty soild tho on the boost gauge ill have to check it again tonight to make sure.

I had mine at 5 on my Z32. That alone did the trick for me. Try it, just watch your boost in case it over boosts toooo much. 3 was just too low and it wouldnt do what I wanted it to. Good luck bud.
