Bump for a local. Saw this on craigslist, wish the timing was better :/
isnt that sticker price or near sticker price? a brand new car will depreciate 3k+ right after you drive it off the lot. i wanted to trade my auto 2.0t gen coupe for manual and i wouldvr lost like 5k with it. mile was 3k at the time

No not at all, If you buy one new, you will be paying $26,650+ out the door. Scion does not negotiate on prices so what you see on the MSRP is what you pay + all the other misc fees and stuff.
Whats the difference between this and brz limited?
The BRZ limited is the "loaded" version of this car, its about $30K new and has stuff like dual zone climate control, push button start etc..
sure ya dont want a s15?
I would SERIOUSLY consider this. But it would have to be an attractive option. I do not want a car that has been modded to shit, has problems, needs repairs etc etc.

You sir is correct. I work for Toyota. Scion is non negotiable. Scion also has no special offers right now for financing, 2.49% is the lowest. 1 that is a rare combo right now, white 6spd. 2 this is the most sought after color. So asking price based on mileage/combo is well worth it. Try posting ads on Craigslist all around your city and surrounding cities, this should go fast. Glws

wow are you fucking serious... remind me to never buy a brand new toyota. my brother just recently bought a brand new ford f150 and he got it for 3-4k less than sticker price.

Ya and that's also a Ford. Sure Toyota could sticker this car at 30k and then negotiate with ppl, but why? They sell like hot cakes, so their for they don't have to negotiate. It's all about supply and demand.
Dp some research on this car, and tell me its not an auto enthusiasts wet dream for only 26k, with new car financing options available, and the #1 auto maker world wide backing it up.

And you don't know a thing about how business works. Ford F150 is thee most sold truck in the United States, ever. So of course ford will discount to earn his business. Your brother could have saved more because I've heard people get up to 7k off and American cars are known to mark up. Toyota is more reliable (fact) and is all very well priced. You can get camrys for excellent price as well since there is soo many. A white Frs / 6speed is thee most sought after combo and they don't make too many so supply and demand makes them worth the price. Plus Scion is pure pricing and non negotiable because they are already priced very well. Subaru brzs have markups as well, my friend purchased one and got 3k off and still costed more than a frs. Carmax is a huge dealership and NONE of their cars are negotiable.

Say what you want but they have it on paper and that is all. Drove the old 2.0L T and it was a joke. Clunky gearbox and slow as balls. My buddy is ALREADY replacing his tranny because of an unknown clicking noise.
Free bump for a nice car.

Who said I was going to keep the car n/a? :) Full Blown turbo kit + corn juice = 350whp. In 2700ish lb car... what was slow will then dish out a healthy portion of ownage to 95% of the cars out there. I can live with that.
I came from a 2011 G37 IPL coupe so i was a bit spoiled with some of the features and amenities that the FRS does not have. The BRZ Limited is a happy medium in terms of OEM available features.

I considered the genesis, but it just doesn't suit my liking. I would argue that the FRS/BRZ chassis and suspension etc is engineered better than the genesis. Also, yes the depreciation issue as well. Everybody has their own reasons for getting car A or B, logical or not. I'll be sticking with the FRS/BRZ platform. I love the way the car dives (minus the lack of torque). Everything feels SOLID. Chassis you can just FEEL the stiffness, steering is crisp, brakes are firm, gear changing just feels mechanically correct, limited slip diff, feels light to drive (because it is). Its a great drivers car, one that isnt clouded with complex electronics to make it a mobile PlayStation. I havent had a car put such a big smile on my face since my old 240sx....

but if you are modding it the depreciation of trade in value shouldnt play a role in your decision as much. turbo kits recently released a kit for the 3.8 genesis with stock internals at 6.5 pounds its at 400 WHP. built motor running 10 pounds is over 500 whp. and this is with the old motor. when they crack the 2013 GDI ECU the numbers are going higher. GLWS free bump. ill stop preaching now. just wanted to give you some ideas.

Thanks for the input, but the FA20 engine is holding up quite well. Genesis for some folks, FRS for others.

600+ whp on a TOTALLY stock block and head. Over 150 dyno pulls, makes me feel quite secure about running 350whp all day long.

Bump for an awesome car.
I have the same exact car. Came out to 26.5k without the touchscreen. Every dealership I've been to with a white six speed wont even let you touch it without drawing up paper work. That's a hell of a deal, considering every Fr-S I've seen for sale that hasn't ass packed a winnebago is still going for 25k+.
Glws man
Also the genesis has more power than the frs, and that's where the advantages end. The genesis has horrible brake fade, much more understeer compared to the frs, no steering angle, and the list goes on. It's also a Hyundai.

Scion doesn't negotiate period, doesn't matter what dealer it's toyota's corporate policy with all scions the dealer doesn't have a say in it. If your boy got 3k off the sticker either the dealer got him for something else for that 3k or for all intents and purposes toyota isn't aware of the nappy discount. All salesmen are magicians with numbers at dealerships.
