Hey Guys, so ive been changing batteries abit as i have 2 which are quite tempermental some times will work sometimes wont. sparks a little when connecting the terminals, have done this multiple times but starts first pop every time. then the other day i went to start it, and i couldnt hear the fuel pump prime so i checked spark as well and sure enough i have no spark. also everytime i turn it off of acc there is a really weird almost croaking noise coming from where the ecu is. could i have fried my ecu or the relay? has anyone ever encountered this problem? please help! its an s15 sr20det in a jdm s14 zenki.
Thanks guys

Whats ur voltage at?
And why do you switch between batteries? If one is tempermental it sounds like an internal battery issue and should be swapped for a known good battery.

Sorry noone else has replied, Your description is decent but doesnt leave us much to go off of..
have you tested anything? What is your mechanical experience..
Honestly I would open up the ECU and inspect for burn marks... if it looks clean, borrow a friends ecu and try it.

thanks for the reply. im ok with mechanical stuff, i completed the engine conversion but the wiring was completed by a professional auto sparky. basically the bottom line is, it drove fine, then i went to start the car i did not hear the fuel pump prime i tested the coils for spark and i have none. when i turn the car onto acc, then back to the off position i hear a weird creaking noise coming from that area so im presuming it is either the ecu or the relay i am just stuck as to which one it is and i cant get hold of either items for borrowing or purchase them cheaply!

Pull the ECU and turn the key to on right before it cranks and see if the lights in the ECU are on (there is a window in the back) if no light. Your ecu is probably shot.

Well start by pulling out the ECU it is easy..
Carefully open it up and inspect the circuitry for any burn marks where electricity may have cause a short. At least that will give you something to go off.
