View Full Version : Dyno Results... very happy!
Well.. I finally put my car on the dyno...
It's a Snap-on dyno, the type that's in the floor with 2 rollers...
We did 3 4th gear pulls..
at 15psi, I managed 283.7whp
and at 19 psi, I managed 307.3whp
Not bad for an S15 turbo! :)
I'll post pics of the graphs... I also have videos...

hmm i thought 4 psi would make more of a difference than 24whp...still great numbers

Not sure on a s15 turbo, but typically t25's max out is 12-15psi, so 19 psi on the typical t25 is in-efficent, there for blowing alot of hot air, and shorting the life of the turbo. Again i could be wrong on the s15 turbo though.
S15 Turbos are Dual ball-bearing T28... Not the small T25...
but 18 psi is the efficiency limit..

Damn, I'd guess that'd be a very usable 300hp too, not very peaky since those t28s are dual bb.

Nice. No aftermarket cams either. Impressive. What "Blacktop SR Swap" is it? Sicne there are 4. Ya know... I assume this is on an S13 Blacktop?
With some mild cams, like 256/256, you should be able to get about 300ish at 1Bar. That would be more efficient and less stressful.

do you have a dyno sheet? can you tell where the full boost hits?
I'll get everything for you this week. They saved my runs but their printed was down.
Usually, I hit full boost at 3500rpm with 19psi.
It's a S13 Blacktop 1rst generation (94-95). I'll post some more details when I get my sheets. :)

Good numbers!
Add a Greddy turbo extension pipe, and some big cams, you should hit 315+

I'm definitely interested in the dyno chart...as well as the A/F ratio chart. Depending on what I see there, I'd like to know more about the people who tuned your ECU. Could you PM me with info and pricing so I can consider contacting them? I'll have basically the same setup (S14 turbo instead of S15)...

Hmm.... I need some ignition control and an S14 or S15 turbo.... see if I can push 350 :p
Great numbers though!! Took my friend a GTiR turbo to get to 300!
I have no A/F curve because I had no wideband. I will return for a wideband run with my tuner (he's a friend of mine and tuned I'd say 10 cars here... From S14 T28 to GT25R, on S13, S14 SRs and VG30DETT, he's currently working on a RB26DETT swap in an S14.)
And usually, he asked for 500$CDN for the retune.
I personnally have 4 different maps on my ECU activated by a switch:
1. 91 octane, 555cc, Z32, stock redline, no top speed
2. 94 octane, 555cc, Z32, 8000 redline, no top speed
3. 94 octane, 555cc, Z32, higher boost (richer in boost), 8000 redline, no top speed
4. stock, 555cc, Z32, 3000 redline, 50kmh top speed. (called VALET map, which, btw, KICKS ASS when you lend the car)
He can do anything and his turnaround is pretty quick. ;)
I'm still awaiting the shop for my dyno sheets. Should have them this week.

Brandon, the 4 BT models would be:
94-96.5 180sx
96.5-98 180sx (different ECU/fuel map, oil pick up design)
94-96 S14
96-98 S14
99-02 S15
So thats actually 5 HAhaha. the differences btwn zenki and kouki S14s are very very minor. The main difference in S13 BT's in the kouki model has S14 oil pick up design.
Anyways, that ecu tuning is cool haha. Valet... niceeee.
