So me and buddy replaced his clutch slave today with the suspension that his pedal travel was the symptom of it going. We replaced it, removed his dampening system while we were down there, bled it and were happy with the pressure. The clutch pedal still had some travel so we adjusted the pedal from the bar/fork setup.
He drove the car maybe a tenth of a mile; first shift was nice and smooth, second shift he lost pressure, third shift he nearly had zero pressure, and finally his pedal hit the floor and he couldn't get in gear.
We bench bled the slave. We bled the lines. He has fluid. We can't see any leaks. We tried to look and see what the issue could be underneath and didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Now, here is where it gets a little weird. When the pedal bottoms out and he tries to pump it while the car is running, he gets zero pressure. If he turns it off and pumps, the car gains pressure in the clutch. I am truly baffled. It doesn't make any sense to me and I can't find any leads what it could be. I'm 99.9% positive in his short drive he couldn't have gotten the fluid so hot that it could be doing that.
I was thinking to bleed it again and possibly just replace the master and [hopefully] be done with the issue.
Yes, the slave he got was from vatozone so I don't have super faith in it but it does seem to be functioning properly. And leads would be appreciated. Searching gave me no results.
Thanks in advance.
