will it fit? i am currently entertaining this idea. i have access to one with a transmission. with only 3k on the clock, car totatled in a rear collision. would it be similar to an sr swap, with all the wiring ecu etc. basically let me know what im getting myself into.

You might want to ask the guy with the SR powered 350z since he did the exact opposite of what you want to do.

a lot of people say that motors not exactly something to "uncork" for power potential. i hear its already pretty pushed and that a turbo setup is really really pushing the block hard. even though this is not factual as i cannot back it up, if it is true, why not just go sr? or rb? both have been proven to be adequate blocks for high power.

hmm.. but the vq30de whatever the z33 motor is... looks and most likely is a bigger engine than the SR. for a fact, its v6 and that makes it bigger in itself. the sr is smaller so it probalby fit easily into the z33. so there might not be enough room in the bay for the z33 motor. well, its been done w/ z32 vg30dett motor so its possible..
