To make a long story short I completely screwed my car up. It drives but I took it to a body shop and damage repaire is going to cost me well over $4500. I am not happy and kinda depressed. When it first happend i kinda was like shit look at my car, oh well... but now its really sunk in and i am really sad. I really can say that i loved and appretiated that car. The car was bought at 4000 and damage is well over 4500 so my insurance company is most likely going to give me blue book value which is between 5-6000, and salvage the car. I think i will buy it back at salvage cost and repair it cause the engine still runs and it still drives. I am going to have to call in alot of favors to get my car running again. Anyways the way it happend was that i was behind a mini van about 20 yards back doing between 30 to 35 i think. well she slammes her brakes right when i was looking in my rear view mirror. well anyways i catch her brake lights in the coner of my eye. Well i step on the brakes hard and then reliese that i am sliding when i try to turn out of the way. So i was sliding and unable to turn, in other words screwed. I almost got by but my right side hit her bumper. Damage wise my car is totalled. the front right corner is wasted and the entire bumper has been pushed back 3 to 4 inchs. the right fender is bent and the hood has a lovely arch to it. The ladies mini van had no damage except that the bumper had de clipped its self. no chips no scratches nothing, just a bumper out of place. Anyways i am going to continue to cry like a little kid... i miss it...

i'll post pics when the pics are developed, oh and the reason she had to slam her brakes was because some kid in a old civic decides not to signal when the are going to make a sudden turn a parking lot. which leads me to believe she was following a little close to that civic. anyways i want to say that i wish you guys luck and that i will see you guys around... till next time people......

With all the wrecked/broken 240's around here we could make Team Broken Heeps.

Hey Saam, not all hope is lost if you're thinking about getting another car. There's a white '91 RPS13 in the 650 area selling for $3750. It's an LE model with a sunroof, leather seats, and a 6-disc CD changer. I was gonna go check it out myself, but my parents don't want me getting another car yet since I already have the 'teg to drive. =/

Here's the link to the car I was talking about. Here! (http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=79381596&dealer_id=&certified=n&max_price=5000&start_year=1991&end_year=2002&address=94578&search_type=&make=NISSAN&model=240SX&min_price=&distance=100&advcd_on=n&advanced=n&car_year=1991&ac_afflt=none) The car looks really sweet man. I know you want your old car back, but just in case you change your mind and wanna get something around the same caliber. If I can't get the car, I hope someone else who deserves it does. ^_^

Good luck man, sorry to hear about your loss.

That sucks man. I'd cry like a ltl baby if i wrecked my car. I think unless you've done expensive engine work I would just get a new car. It'd probably be cheaper

if you damaged the right front fender, bumper, radiator supports and hood and such, maybe you could go ahead and do an S15 front end conversion? if they do cut you a check for $5000-6000, you could easily do the conversion and maybe have enough left over to get a red top SR swap, with a tiny bit added on. these are all of the things you'd have to replace anyways.

sorry to hear about your car man. also, you said car born in 1992, im guessing its a 180sx then? why the #### is your name drift style s14 man, unless you own one of those, too

i don't know what i'd do if i wrecked my car, i'd be screwed, 2 many ppl have been wrecking their cars lately, but at least we get to hear about them n all. i would definitely just get a new car, less of a hassle.

Hey Takumi thanks for the link i am going to check it out today. And Mistert i was thinking about doing the front end swap but i don't know where to find a complete converstion, what would i need to do the swap. OH and the reason that my name is S14 is because thats what i wanted before i bought my S13. i love the s13 soo much more though, so i plan to change my name soon, or whenever i get around to it.

Good luck
