Testing waters - I have a 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 2Dr w/ COMPLETE 2004 STi Swap and PPG gearbox.
Bought this car two months ago with the intention of completely finishing it and selling it. I knocked out a good majority of things that the car needed to be complete, but the bodywork and paint I wasn't able to get to. I'm trying to consolidate the number of cars I have since I rarely get to drive any of them with my new job.
From previous sellers ad:
Hey guys. I'm selling my 98 Coupe RSTi. For those of you who know Skully and his old monster, this is the same car. The old motor blew with the crazy set up so I did a full swap into this car, including full wiring harness and 04 STi dash, minus the transmission (kept the PPG gearset in there). The motor and wiring harness was purchased as a complete stock set up all from one 04 STi (engine, turbo, up pipe, injectors, etc). Compression test was done prior to buying the engine.
1998 2.5 RS Coupe (originally RBP in color, was spray painted red by previous owner, is currently plastidip'd matte black by me)
Car is completely rust free! And I'm in central Florida, so we don't get any salty air here.
Engine:
04 STI EJ257 Engine with 127xxx miles on it (it is my Daily Driver, so miles are slowly accumulating)

Only things missing from interior are the headliner and rear decklid, the rest is in the car.

Bosch “Aero” Wipers
Miscellaneous:
JDM STi Key
04 Keyless Buzzer (Keyless Entry Beep Sound)
04 STi Gas Tank
I may be forgetting some things, but I will update if I remember anything else. Car has a couple dings. Driver's rear quarter panel is dented, but I was planning on either going wide body or fender flares so I never bothered to fix it. Also the A-pillar is dented. Previous owner rubbed a guard rail on the drivers side at a slow speed. The drivers side door and front fender were fully replaced.
I love this car to death. I did the entire wiring swap myself and made sure it was perfect. The harness is a full 04 STi harness except at the doors, lights, and sunroof where it was merged. I kept all available connections just in case I ever wanted to go to a six-speed for some reason (ie. rear differential temp. sensor, DCCD wires, etc.) The car has been tuned by Eric at TorquedPerformance. Not sure on the exact HP and TQ numbers but its logged at 18.5 psi and is very quick.
The bad:
The dents. Also I had the clutch and a new throwout bearing installed by TampaBay Tuned. The throwout bearing makes some noise, but clutch and everything holds just fine. Also car is a little loud with the transmission and rear differential. But hey if you want racecar sounds then here ya go.
I really do love this car. The PPG in itself is awesome to hear everyday and know that you have it. Turns a lot of heads haha! I've spent a lot of time getting the car where I want it to be, but it's time to let her go. Between school and work I really just don't have the time to put into the RS that I'd like to. I would really like to get her a paint job, install a wide body, and take her to the track, but it's just not the right time for me.
So far I have fixed all the minor issues on the car - that means EVERYTHING works:
-A/C (Ice-cold)
-Heat (Hot as hell)
-Cruise control
-PW/PL
-all electrical from previous owner is perfect.
So far I have done the following on the car:
-Reinstalled A/C w/ fresh lines, condenser, and seals from Subaru. The A/C now fully works and uses the STi HVAC auto-climate function. It’s Ice-cold!
-Complete fluid change:
1)Engine Oil: Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic – 5W40
2)Transmission: Andrewtech PPG “Cocktail” – 2 parts redline and 1 part motul synthetic
3)Rear Differential: Redline LSD shockproof gear-oil
4)Coolant: OEM Subaru 2008+ STi Blue
5)Brake fluid: ATE Superblue Racing Fluid Synthetic
-New Perrin Air Filter
-New NGK plugs (gapped to .025)
-JDM Ver. 5 Sti Forged Aluminum Lower Control Arms
-Whiteline LCA Front Bushing and rear ALK
-GTSpec Roll Center Adjustment and bumpsteer kit (New lower balljoints and outer tierods)
-Kartboy Rear-diff outrigger subframe collars/bushings
-Whiteline Rear diff-mount bushings
-Genuine STi CF front strut bar
-Whiteline rear Strut bar
-STi Pink Lateral links
-JIC Magic Adjustable Rear Trailing Arms
-ATI 3-Pod Clock Gauge Housing
-ProSport 60MM Amber/White Boost, Water-temp, and Oil-press gauges

All install work was done by Brad @ EngineLogics in Houston and I have all receipts. I will try and get the compression and leakdown numbers as well, since this was done at the time of install.
Also have a carfax if anyone wants it.
Clean title in hand.
