Ok so here is my deal its not good just started today when I'm driving down the road and my car goes below 2500RPM's E brake light comes on and at times it will feel like its being pulled and it will slow me down.

I have no idea why it's doing this and did not think it could do this on its own.

Sometimes it dose it other times it won't. Fluid level is good so yea help

Try adjusting your e-brake cable on the handle, they could be dragging or the brake caliper piston might be seized. Did you mess with anything having to do with the brakes recently?

Yea that's a good idea to try. And no I have not messed with anything so far. The light has come on before but I thought it was just a bad switch no big E but after feeling it slow me down uhh a bit more to it.

The e-brake handle should click like 4 times before you should start feeling slack on the handle I believe.

Your alternator shit the bed, or you have a very very poor connection on the power cable to it.

Seriously...I know it sounds strange that the e brake light does this, but it's a warning

And the loss of power you felt was the car running off the battery, while the battery was getting weaker and weaker, thus not providing the proper voltage to make the car run right. Combined with the fact that the car now won't turn over is almost a sure sign.

With that said, you'll need a new alternator. In the meantime see if you can trickle charge your battery that way once you get the new alternator it will be good to go. Hopefully your battery is still strong enough to hold a charge as sometimes older batteries can also crap out if you run them completely empty (which is what you unknowingly did)

It was just my starter that was bad I got a new one it runs now. I cleaned that sensor and bent it in still has the light on when parked. I even took it off and it stays on.

It's weird at 3000rpm it's off as the Rpms go down it starts to flicker on and will stay on at 2500 rpm. I'm at a loss.

Yea I think it's the alternator or something it's not the brakes dragging. I gave it a rev when it started slowing down and now it just about wont go down the road I turned around and went back home. And you know what? There is a weird ticking by my left foot like something clicking only when I give it gas.

That's your relays clicking.

Get a new alternator. Problem solved.

Your starter has NOTHING to do with it.

As stated above, it's your alternator. The E brake light coming on is a warning that it's failing or inop. It may work at random, but it is not correct and needs a rebuild.

Yea that's what it is had to jump it to get in the garage and it was still trying to die on me. So I'm working on replacing that and should do the trick.

Man should they not have to a better warning light on the car than a brake light how about the battery light or something.

Well thank you everyone for your help.
Ill post this weekend when I put in the new part if everything is all fixed.
