Is anyone else experiencing this virus? It infects my computer once every 2 minutes then McAfee OWNZ it it like 2 seconds. It creates 2 or 3 different .exe files on my C drive. I'm curious if it's coming from Zilvia or somewhere else.

Here's some info on it

uhhhh...of course you're going to get it if you're not patched / firewalled and have a virus scanner installed. it's not coming from Zilvia, it's coming from other infected machines on your network. Read this to see how it spreads: http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.gaobot.afw.html

step 1 - http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com - scan for all updates and install them (if you can)
step 2 - http://housecall.antivirus.com - scan your computer for viruses (if you can) OR go here http://www.centralcommand.com/downloads.html , get the bootable CD and the split floppies for definition files, burn the .iso onto a cd, and boot to it. however if your hard drive is NTFS this will be able to SEE the viruses but not fix it.

unfortunately, this virus is REALLY nasty and can steal passwords, open shares on your computer for people to store warez, etc on...plus it makes it hard for you to get to websites that will help you fix it.

basically, you've been hacked. even if you get the virus off, it's possible someone has opened other things. the only way to be SURE you got rid of everything is to reformat and reinstall.

KEEP UP TO DATE WITH WINDOWS UPDATES AND YOUR VIRUS DEFINITIONS YOU NINCOMPOOPS!
