ThatGuy
04-28-2004, 10:55 PM
The headlights are an in-house custom done by Clear-Corners. We are not all as Noob as we seem. Timanator, thank you for the link to the other thread. This place is full of good ideas and nice custom work. I'm a --> :newbie: :boink:

i see you did the vent like you were talking about. did you ever do a post or write up on how you did it?
Never did a write up actually... I came with photoshopped pics at my bodyshop and they did the custom job. Basically, the cut open the bumper and fiberglassed it to this shape. It's a really clean job.
For all those who wonder about the lights, I did them myself... Montreal and California are les 3000 miles apart. :) But it was greatly inspired by Clearcorners. I don't have HID though.
And the gauges are Autometer Cobalt.
And finally, the gauge pod is a Border-Racing gauge pod. Need a little custom fab to fit in nicely though. Mine isn't finished yet.

Guys asking for write ups:
If you search properly on Zilvia.net, you can find everything needed to do this conversion. Use some common sense and you're done. ;)

Next pics / vids are my dyno run (this saturday) and some Auto-X pics with SSR Gold face meshies with R-Compounds! :D

are those chuki side skirts? also, i noticed your turn signals aren't lit up, so they blink when you turn them on. did you buy the pivot headlight controller?
FRPilot:
Those are OEM factory side-skirts here.
The Chuki turn signals only light up when blinkers are on. Position lights are the white ones. And yes, I do have a Pivot Headlight Controller.

i just think you did a great job, love the interior, i have the same gauges sitting in my office ready for my eclipse but MAN THEY LOOK SOOO GOOD, it makes me more excited to put them in.....
imo i just think the car needs a front lip and side skirts but that is your car, and if your idea was the stock form (sleeper) then u did a great job

basically, you take out the rectangular halogen, fab up some kinda bracket to hold the 2 projectors in. wiring should not be that hard. hardest thing is probably getting the headlights to open up that high. with the adjustable headlight controller. its kind of a mystery how those controllers work b/c im wondering my self so im going to ask halo..
question for halo:
how do the pivot headlight controllers work? i thought it was adjustable liek a light dimmer switch. so it has an adjustable knob that controls how high you want the lights to be on like a light dimmer switch.
Exactly...
it's a dimmer switch that controls the CLOSED position of your headlights...
cutting some wires might be required ;)

Oh. I also remember Halo talking about how he had to do some cutting also, to get the lamps to go in far enough to close them. I also remember Mike from clearcorners saying that he fabricates new arms so when you turn the lamps on they go to the desired height and you won't need a controller. ANOTHER thing Mike also said is to use relays to avoid frying your combination switch as all the power(on stock wiring) will go through that switch. And the last thing that both Halo and Mike have said(to some extent), If you aren't willing to do the research yourself and figure it out then just pay Mike to do it.:)

I'm finishing up painting my S13 as well... Same color as yours.. ;) We shot the clear and were going to cut and buff it tomorrow.. but it started raining and the humidity stopped us from finishing. Had to get a respirator... those fumes don't play!!

I'm the one driving my car so I do what I like on the car. ;) I don't mind people not liking it nor telling me how they would've done something. It took 3-4 weeks of bodywork... but they ran in a few problems. I'd say real time is more close to 2 weeks work.
TurboB15Sentra:
Pearl white? WK0? :) I love that color...

Ya, your car looks great, very tastefull, and clean. Good job!
Makes me want to paint my car.
I'm not much into wings, but IMO that is the best looking wing for a Hatch 180-240

Only in pure sunlight and moonlight... when it's cloudy or dark, you don't really notice it...

That's a clean little car you've got there! The paint looks great! If I were to make a small positive suggestion, lower the car a bit more...actually SLAM IT! It'll look even more super hotter!!! =D
Yeah... lower it more and have NO SUSPENSION TRAVEL... might be nice for a show car, but for a track whore, it won't do much good... don't you think? ;)
I love the wing, and won't ditch it. Sorry guy!
