I am in need of some help. the battery light comes on then it goes off. i am hearing a buzzing noise under the dash on the drivers side as the light goes on and off. the alternator is less than 2 months old and the battery seems to be ok. i have checked the voltage at the alternator and it is 14.1v. has anyone had this problem? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Could it be one of the relays in your passenger side relay/fuse box? i noticed mine was buzzing (flipping on/off) really loudly with the car in the "on" position not too long ago. I don't know what caused this, but it eventually went away and I haven't had a problem like it since.
Good luck with the problem!

it could be some loose wire thats grounding...look around for some wires thats suppose to be connected or bolted into something

this happened to me. whenever i used any type of power, ie brake lights, head lights, signals, reverse... i heard a wierd buzzing sound. My voltage was really low. dipping into the 11's with headlights and brakes on. After switching alternators it was all fine and perfect. I also thought it was the battery first, and i went through two of em before being sure it was my alternator. ( the batteries were free through a friend at pep boys :)

found the problem. it was the belt. the belt that was on it was less than 2 months old but, it came from our friends at advanced auto. new belt=no light and no buzzing.

New Belt? What The Hell Are You Talking About? That Has Nothing To Do With The Ouput Of The Alternator Unless The Old One Was Slipping Very Very Badly

belt doesnt have to slip badly at all on an alternator to mess with the output.
