Bling without the WEIGHT or WAIT?

Both, I suppose, no wait - you can do it yourself. No weight - it's not plated, just painted.

what would happen if you painted the whole car chrome?

Probably be good for a showcar, but I wouldn't want to see it on the road. Too much of a distraction for other drivers. On a sunny day you could blind a whole city.

has been done. my brother chromed some old volks he had for his c230. the lip was badly messedup so he had the outer lip ground smooth and chromed for about 400. looks nice, anyone who looks at it would only think it's some cheap wheel (he chromed over the volk cap.)

I've seen it used on Motorcycles before. One had a real nice Chrome Flame paintjob. If he hadn't have chromed over the Volk cap those wheels might have cool, like to see it with the polished lip too.

Why not just powder coat it almost chrome? IMHO that'd look better.

Could be done as well, just found this paint, thought it was interesting. Don't know the price diff. between this and powder coating. If I were considering chrome on my car,, I'd go for whatever was cheaper, as long as it looked decent.
