This morning on my way to class, my brakes start grinding..well, mainly my front left one. After classes are over, I got the car in the air and my inside caliper on the driver side is worn down to the metal shim. I figured the slider pins were seized, but no, they were greased up pretty good. I replaced it and then checked the other side, it was the same deal. Pad was almost worn down to the shim, and the slider pins were lubed up. I'm guessing my calipers are starting to seize? I installed these pads (KVR) last summer and they have about 13k miles on them.

change your pads and resurface your rotors, hopefully, the pads didnt touch the rotors yet, otherwise youll have to get new rotors.

The last time this happened to me it was on the rear driver side caliper, same exact symptoms. After disassembling the rear brake to change the pads I found out it had seized up. Good luck fixing it.

Bah, I think I'm just going to upgrade to Z32 brakes this summer. I had planned to get new rotors anyway. Thanks.

same thing happened to me a bunch of times , and every time it was the caliper piston getting stuck and warping . so its probly your caliper going out .
