You don't need pistons, head work, or an oil pump. 300whp is very attainable with a stock block and a good tune.

Read up on ka-t.org.

just want to be safe. I would rather my engine be able to withstand 500 hp then already reaching its limits at 300... btw thanks for the link tha helped a lot thanks

yea I figured I needed an oil pump...

what about sleeves??

plus I have 8.8 pistons.

Will my new pistons drop right in if I don't get the sleeves and machine the block?

Why would you need sleeves? It's an iron block. CR shouldn't make a difference if the pistons will drop right in unless you got much higher CR pistons. You should measure the bore and buy them to fit. Or buy them a little bigger and bore it out , that way you can make sure the cylinder is round.

Well I figured if I have sleeves then my car can handle a lot more power then what im trying to get at. So there's no struggle for my engine. If it can handle 1000hp id have it at 500.

Yea but ive been reading that lower compression is better for high boost. Looking around 15-20psi. So 8.8 would be good? Or 9?

Why not just run it stock and then rebuild it once necessary?

ok no need to sleeve at all go with
low comp pistons
forged rods
new bearings for crank and rods
new oem oil pump
new oem timing kit
new water pump
new thermostat
metal head gasket
deck head and block for good seal

as for the head you can keep stock for a mild build that you are doing also cams will be nice but not needed to get it going and they will be a lot easier to install down the line compared to an oil pump so spend your money in the bottom end as you can pull the head off very fast if you decide to push over 500

lastly please use google more because it will not flame your for a question like this but if you would like further advice on a setup send me a pm with your plans for your car as for its purpose ex daily, track, or drift.

If you're asking questions like this, chances are you aren't going to reach 500whp anytime soon. As long as your engine is in good health and you get a good tune (EFI Specialist, JWT, Enthalpy) your stock block can handle 300whp all day long, pending you have the injector and mafs to support it.

Its kinda scattered around, its basically the goal you want right now (350) 500+ is like 6262 turbo sized area.
My builds kinda more to show the stock block holds boost I suppose :D

*Side note, Kedbmx on Ka-t.org has one hell of a build thread*

Your in over your head. And if you have a budget you might as well double it, you don't know what parts you need? But your buying new parts for the build? Sit down, plan it out, shop around, a d read other build threads. A KA isn't a Honda, you don't need to sleeve it.

Just want to make sure ive got the right idea.
Last thing I want to do is think I know it all and overlook something.
