I was just wondering if the "260+ horsepower" nissan claims comes from a n/a engine or a turbocharged engine? if it's n/a, goddamn. I say nissan deserves an applause.

i dont like the new Z all that much myself, but its really not all that bad. the one that pisses me off the most is the new r35...i mean come on, that's supposed to be a fucking skyline? the japanese (nissan especially) have a history of bringing in europeans (Especially germans) to design cars and set trends, which they did with the Z and other cars. I guess now in today's competitive market they need something new to keep up so they got the guy who designed AUDI's quattro line.
####, its like they say...we all love the cars we lusted after as kids when w're first old enough to get them, and after that era, cars just dont look as good ever again

FYI the r34 GTR will be around till the new gtr is ready in 03 -05 when ever. i head the same crap when the concept Z pics came out. 99.9% of the ppl said they hated it, now it looks like more ppl like it than dislike it. at least they dropped the i4 180hp motor that they said was going in to the Z back in 99. im sure the new GTR will change for the better too. just relax and sit on the pot.
on the pot eh

and we needn't forget, the current r35 is just a concept, the actual production car will likely be quite a bit different, without as many of the ridiculous looking lines and features. it might look somewhat less gay by the time its ready for market

i already pretty much "accept" it n it's not all futuristic to me, but i will never like it as much as an r33 gt-r.

I saw a totally different r35 pic somewhere on this forum a long long time ago...it was different from the r34 but still looked like a skyline...I think the one you're all talking about is just a concept car right now. and if the rumors that the skyline is coming in a couple of years are true then I can't imagine them accepting that as the first skyline in america...no one would buy it.

the pics of the concept is what we're all talking aoubt. I saw the early drawings and prototypes, and it looked like the logical evolution, but the final concept turned out pretty different

mmm not that it matters to you blankflip but...I like 240's, 92-95 Civic HB's, 90-93 Integras, AE86, Supras, NSXs, Silvias, Skylines, etc etc
Mostly I like S13s and AE86s.
And I never said I liked stock 240's

I personally think the R32 was the best looking skyline. The others are totally awesome, but there's just something about the 32... I'm going to have to side with whacked on this one though... a lot of the new cars coming out now are getting a bit ugly. They're just changing designs for the new decade. Happens every decade, but i'm going to miss 90's style cars

My Personal Opinion
I'll say...I didn't care much for the concept z, but however I do like the production z and am very happy about the choice in motor...the numbers it put up and the price tag....as far as the R35 goes...I like it...the 4 door (g35) will be an excellent is300 fighter (especially since it clowns the is by 60-80 hp) the pics I've seen of the r35 gt-r...I like it also..it has a very aggressive stance. Someone mention that there is a lot of european influence in the new nissans...well could be that nissan is owned by Renualt...who we all know SAVED nissans ass!!! I mean look at the cars they are turning out now..the new z, altima, maxima, sc trucks and sport utilities.....and they are bringing the skyline so I couldn't be happier with the company...

i was just sayin' besides 240's since i know u have one so obviously u wouldn't hate it. ur just 2 #### negative about f'n everything, i can understand not liking some stuff related to cars n i've agree w/ u on some of ur comments, but it seems like u only criticize what u don't have. n no it doesn't matter 2 me. maybe ur opinions will matter 2 me when u get a license.

i agree, the 32 was just its own beast. not to mention its the best handling of all the skylines, due to the chassis rigidity and lower weight, which was fucked up in the r33, and still not really fixed in the 34.
the really sad thing is, a really nice condition r32 GTR goes for less in japan than what we pay for an s14a 240sx...ridiculous

pat, how much do the r32 gt-r's go for over there (if u even read this post)? i can't really remember, but i wanna say like $15,000 for an r32 one. my r32 gts-t was only $3500, still like 215 hp n very clean, but no gt-r....

i mean, the general prices i have seen for auction, can be anywhere from around 8k US to 14-15k US, depending on whats in them. i saw one on yahoo japan auctions that had a greddy T88-34D already installed that was 1,500,000 yen. had full JUN internals (head gasket, pistons, rods, cams), an insane fuel system mounted in the trunk, 7p roll cage inside, and it was totally stock on the outside, including the wheels. on top of that, like pretty much all other japanese cars i see, it was under 40,000 miles. jesus H...what a steal. i wanna go to japan NOW

i like the concept of the r35, i like the old and new concept of the Z, but i like the Z32 best and the R32 the best, less flashy. i'd rather have the RB26DETT in an R32 though.
mistert
11-29-2001, 02:52 PM
you could always put an rb26dett in a z32 just use rb25det transmission for RWD, or try and go nuts and put in AWD. im sure theres enough space in the z32's front end to accomidate ATTESA
