Hello, just wondering from people who have done this before. What is the best way to snake the braided lines from the floor of the car up into the fuel sending unit area? Preferably on the driver side. I have tried but I can barely fit my hand in between the floor and tank area. Possible to do without dropping the subframe and tank?

Did you try feeding them from the top where the access port is?

Yea that's the first place I started.

Are the soft lines already ripped out? If not splice them together and pull them through. But from the sounds of it you already removed them so you're gonna have to just keep trying until you get it pretty much.

i had to just kinda snake it up from the front of the tank dude....it helps to have to sets of hands...lol. i had to cut it super long and kinda snake it through the access port. then i trimmed it and installed it from the top.

Actually the stock soft lines are still there on the passenger side. But I'd like to try and get it through the front or even driver side of the tank. I'll keep trying but it is very tight.

Still use the stock lines and then once the lines are down just slide them to where ever you want them. It'll be alot easier to place them where you want them once you have access to them from top and bottom.

I tried again and honestly the only room between the tank and floor is where the stock lines go up into the passenger side. For those of you who got braided lines up and over the front of the tank I'd be interested in pics because I can't even get my index finger to fit into that area.
godsmack (http://zilvia.net/f/members/godsmack.html) I agree with you.

barely any room to work with. If you removed the lines already from the tank, might as well remove the tank. It's seriously not hard, just make sure you siphon all the gas out. Who knows maybe you'll fix whatever rust you might find up there while you're at it. Otherwise like riptor said, helps to have another pair of hands

Have you tried starting from the top? You can try pulling the fuel pump carrier out a bit, mounting them there; then feeding them down to the hardlines. Or try mounting them from the top in general. I was able to feed them from the front on my S13, but it's not as tight of a fit; and my subframe was not installed at the time.
Dropping the tank is not hard... and he^^ was right- great opportunity to clean/protect the underbody up there. You could do it all in a few hrs.
