ka24E intermittent rev limit around 5k RPM

Issue #1. I been having some starting issues as of late, i would go to start the car and it would fire up but then die immediately. i try to start a couple more times but then realize the gas smell which to me means i am "flooded".

Issue #2. I was running through the gears tonight and when I got to just past 5k rpm the engine rpm like "hit a wall" like it was a fuel cutoff or something like that. I have never experience this issue before so I am reaching out to zilvia for help. HELPPPP!!!.

Not sure if both my issues are related, i dont know if i have a fuel or ignition problem.

I case anyone in interested, I did a tune up replacing the ignition rotor/cap/wires and spark plugs. Everything seems to be running fine again.

yeah, both of those problems pointed at the need of an ignition tune-up. the smell of raw fuel would have ruled out fuel as an issue...lol.
