well after getting the exhaust apart the cat that sits under the body has been gutted, so I am at $50 for it now.

The cat on the downpipe is NOT the "pre-cat". That is the MAIN catalytic converter. The one under the car is the POST-CAT, and is less important. I mention this because I have seen an epidemic of gutted main cats on S14's lately. Retards think they're just a "pre-cat" and not important, when in fact it is the opposite...

I just went through replacing my cat. I also thought the cat looking device that sits underneath the drivers seat is not a cat at all. The cat connects directly to the exhaust manifold and is built in to the downpipe. Mine was completely sealed.. Was getting bad results getting emissions, and once I replace the cat it passed like it was a brand new car.
