Utec HELP!

I just purchased a used Utec for the 350z. I was able to get it for a steal ( or so I thought) $50 bucks. Seems the guy was trying the flash the unit to a new version and the hyperterminal crashed and now he cannot communicate with the Utec through hyperterminal. Does anyone have any experience with Utecs and can help me fix this?

your best suggestion is going to be to contact the manufacturer.
this forum is primarily s-chassis so i don't know how much z34 support you will find here.
you may also want to check on one of the z34 forums.

Unfortunately, a lot of Z guys re-flash their units and some of these were not the brightest of the bunch around computers. There was even those who are selling "demo units" despite signing the "do not resell" contract back then.

Ask around my350z.com and they will be able to help. Worst case scenario is sending it back to MFR to get it reflashed again and charging you a few hundred dollars. Best case scenario most of the time is sending it back to MFR and they do it for free.
