Hello I was wondering if anyone would mind throwing some ideas at me for what might be causing this.

My brother suggested using oven cleaner on my engine in preparation of finding an oil leak in the front end. Sprayed the whole motor and hosed it off to clean it up a bit.

Anyway, it ran fine for 2 days and then it started running rough. At first it did this for maybe a minute on and off and now it is getting closer to constant. Very little power and a low, jumpy idol. Definitely a misfire.

Checked for moisture in the distributor and spark plug wires. Two cylinders had condensation so I blew them out and ordered new wires. Also blew out distributor and all other sensors etc that may have gotten wet.

Still running like crap, no change.

Assuming that the wires don't fix it what would you suggest I check next?

I had a misfire in my KA recently. Bought new plug wires and problem was solved.

Forgot to mention 3 of the wires had low spark so it wasn't a shot in the dark. Wires did the trick though.

Thanks
